Also, VR's drummer said that his band is going to tour with Aerosmith. They will perform in Brazil and Argentina in April.

He also said that ''I'm not 20 years old anymore'' when talking about touring.

VR will perform in Argentina at the ''Quilmes Rock Festival 2007''. The festival has 5 nights, and the heavyweight bands are:

And some argentine bands like Ratones Paranoicos (the band that opened for Guns N' Roses at the two shows at the River Plate Stadium in December 1992) and Las Pelotas.

I find very difficult that VR and Aerosmith would be on the same night. But, anyway, who cares? You can go to all nights paying 240 argentine pesos, which is like 80 dollars.

Actually, The festival will have 4 nights (it's confirmed), n' it's very possible that Velvet Revolver n' Aerosmith are gonna be the same night  , Keane n' Evanescence another day, Placebo in the first night n' there will be a day of justargentinian bands... This is the most possible n' sound logical for me...

its disguisting how bands such as keane and evanescence can be on the same stage, even same bill as VR and the very great aerosmith.

VELVET REVOLVER drummer Matt Sorum revealed during this past weekend's Camp Freddy Radio broadcast on Los Angeles' Indie 103.1 FM that the band will be teaming up with AEROSMITH for some South American dates in April. The trek is expected to include stops in Brazil, Argentina and Colombia. Currenttly the group is booked for the following shows (note: these dates have not yet been officially confirmed by VELVET REVOLVER or its management):

Will Velvet Revolver play Europe in the spring?


Aerosmith is joining forces with Velvet Revolver for some upcoming shows. The news comes directly from Velvet Revolver drummer Matt Sorum, who made the announcement on radio station KDLD-FM in Santa Monica, California. Sorum said the bands will hit South America in April, with shows in Brazil, Argentina, and Colombia, though he didn't reveal any specific dates.

Aerosmith is also looking at European dates in the spring, but there's no word yet on whether those shows will also be with Velvet Revolver.

Both groups are in the process of making new albums. Velvet Revolver's will be called Libertad, and it's expected in late April or early May.

Aerosmith hasn't revealed a title or release date for their new project. They toured last year with another Los Angeles-based band, Motley Crue.

I could see them doing "No More No More" since VR covered it... I think Steven Tyler and Joe Perry jammed out "Sweet Emotion" and "Lick and A Promise" with Stone Temple Pilots once too....
