I think this song is a masterpiece and shows that Buckethead is one of the greatest guitarists of all time. Check out the vid:

I assume that's the live version. The studio version is even better.

To me it just seems like an alright song without vocals, then a shred solo.

If this is one of his best.. well.

Well, this is just the stuff you can find on youtube: Plastination Station, Binge and Grab (instrumental) and Sketches of Spain are songs that many also consider to be his best, but they have not been played live, so you can't find them on YouTube, unless they're fan-made videos or something.

Nottingham is my favorite, at least of the purely instrumental tracks.  Soothsayer is pretty good, as well, though.  Thanks for the link(s)!

Soothsayer is a masterpiece, one of the best things I've heard in a long time.

Grab this, you'll love this performance:

of course songs like binge & grab, welcome to bucketheadland, nottingham lace are amazing but Bucket really out did himself with Soothsayer. Buckethead just gets better with age.

AdZ you should go see a show....I always like Bucket but I didn't become a HUGE fan until I saw him live...whole other experience, my jaws dropped with some of the things he does live. Since then I been to about a dozen shows. Every show is different!

Yes, live he is awesome. Best I've ever been to, including old and new GNR. What he does on stage is simply jaw-dropping. Don't know how he does it. I do prefer the studio verison of Soothsayer though. Some of the tricks he inserted in the studio version make it just a touch better I think.

Just imagine songs like soothsayer, nottingham lace, big sur moon + Axl's vocals and the new GNR.  I hope his parts and contributions are intact for CD.  Soothsayer with Axl's lyrics would be fucking epic !
