Okay, this thread needed to happen.? There's entirely too much going on in the Transformers Trailer thread, and the spill over needs to happen somewhere.? I'm having a blast re-living some of my childhood in terms of toys (also in awe of Izzy's knowledge of M.A.S.K.), cartoons, etc.? Time to throw out some random topics and see what everyone has to say & talk about.? Other than Transformers, here's bits and pieces that I remember:

G.I. Joe
Captain Power
Visionaries
M.A.S.K.
Thundercats
Voltron (lion version and vehicle version)
C.O.P.S.
Robotix
Robotech
SuperPowers
Masters of the Universe
Inhumanoids (The evil that lies within!)

Anything to add to the list?? What are your 80's favorites in terms of cartoons, action figures, etc.?

Hmmmmm... my top toys when I was growing up were G.I. Joe, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, He-Man, Star Wars, Transformers and.... I'm forgetting something I think.

Does anyone else remember Muscle Men??  Those little wrestling guys that were kind of like flesh colored and then they started coming in like blue and red. I think they came in a little plastic trash can??? They had a ton of different characters...  I loved those fucking things.  Marvel action figures started coming out probably two or so years before I was done playing with toys.  I had all every Marvel character that there was!!  I remember those battles well...  Oh shit, the memories!!!

I liked Care Bears.? I didn't see much of the cartoon, but I loved the stuffed animals.

Wow.  Care Bears.  Those instantly make me  think of Teddy Ruxpin, Rainbow Bright, Snorks, and the Gummi Bears...

I think it was on after G.I. Joe early in the morning but I fucking loved it. It seems quite queer now but back then I thought it was cool as fuck.

Here's another great one.  Even better when you realize the disaster that changes the planet "happened" in 1994...

He-Man and Thundercats were the shit, but how could any of you forget the Centurions...those big ass dudes with all the holes in their body that you could put all this war equipment on.  Those things were awesome as all hell.

There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

I had a big transformer collection. pretty much any toy of the 80's i either had or wanted it. One christmas there was lots of tiny astronaut action figures with magnets on their feet and you could buy spaceships and control centers for them to stay in. Also laser tag, only played with it on christmas day. That was a toy that gave you a workout and had laser range within 10 feet. No thanks. But it sticks out in my memory that we went outside on Christmas playing with it.

No one has brought up ghostbusters.  I had every ghostbuster gadget you could imagine.  I almost had every TMNT toy as well, but never got Krain(?) or Shredder.  Teddy Ruxbin and Grubby were definitely my favorite toys.  I actually bought two working Teddy and Grubby toys off of Ebay.  Damn I miss the 80s and childhood innocence.

If I still had Snake Mountain and Castle Grayskull plus a few figures, I'm telling you I would break them out right now and become a Master of the Universe.

I had a few assorted figures here and there from other series/movies, but HE-Man was where it was at for me.

He-Man was huge for me, too.  That and G.I. Joe's.  Zartan with his changing colors blew my mind at the time.

And then the girls had Jem and the Holograms...
