In a comment made by a GnR official outlet stated that CD would DEFINATELY be released in europe on the monday and then USA on the tuesday....

Ill give you a $10 bet that CD is released in Europe on the Monday, then USA the following day (tuesday) and i bet most people on here will agree that will happen...

I'm not really taking anyone's side here, but I'd like to direct this post to your first statement about Gn'R touring Europe first. That was most likely due to the fact that there are a LOT more festivals in Europe than in North America, and also that Gn'R had to earn back some credibility with U.S. promoters. Most of Gn'R's big riots and cancellations have occurred in North America. It's understandable then, especially with the whole 2002 tour blowup, that Gn'R would choose to tour overseas first to gain back some credibility and get some good PR working.

Couple that with the fact that they were planning to release the CD this year, during their tour through North America mind you, and it makes sense why they toured Europe first. I'm sure the warmer winter climate of many North American locations played a small part in it as well.

Yep, exactly. I don't know why some of these European fans think they have some sort of preference. Guns N' Roses love their fans all over the world, not just Europe. Stop thinking the world revolves around YOU!

There's no issue about the European music market. There's only you trying to turn this into a "USA! USA! USA!" thread. The fact that albums are out on Mondays in Europe hardly has anything to do with David Hasselhoff.

Well, to be honest, America accounts for 40% of cd sales worldwide. Considering we are only one country, that is a pretty big slice of the pie. However, it has absolutely NOTHING to do with when the record is released in Euroope. ?hihi

I doubt that very much. If I remember correctly I read sometime ago that the annual CD sales in the US are about 650 million, it was compared to the UK with about 250 million and Germany with about 150 million. Thats already 400 million without mayor markets in Europe like France, Spain, Scandinavia, etc.

You guys are quite sensitive. Roll Eyes....United States of America....for a comment which was just stating facts and NOT ?talking about how good or bad our country is. Of course it is logical to release the record on whatever day the country normally releases new records. Europe is on Monday. Great! ok I don't know what day Japan releases records or Chile or anywhere else for that matter.

MOnday Tuesday or when ever as long as the album comes out.

Europe/ Asia tour first then USA in summertime would be great! As long as they make it back to Northern California to play the canceled shows i do not care where they start.

I do think that EUROPE is a bigger market for Metal Music than the USA. Just look at all the festivals there are in EUROPE vs USA.
