Thus spake the Super-Guru...Did you hear that?

I swear to god I don't want them to go anywhere before getting this album out !!!! confused

They'll be rehearsing new setlists and shit, all the planning that goes along with a tour you know they aren't going to do it small...it will all just distract them from the most important thing right now which is the album.

Axl could call me up and offer to play my back yard and I'd say to him only if the album is done and 100% coming out on March 6th !!

If you come by and read this Axl.... if you offer I'll turn you down like an ol'bitch  rofl

Thanks!  That actually looks very cool, too bad I don't live anywhere near Dubai!!!

You lie!!! Grin

But I think the fact that we haven't heard anything is a good sign they are indeed working on the record and the release.  The next time I see them live I would really have like to have heard CD in it's entirety.

That Dubai festival looks intensely cool! Wish they would do more things like this in the States. We usually get a couple metal shows in the summer with big line-ups but I hate the venues they play and will actually not attend because of the venue. True metal is sorely lacking here...

I think it would be a great start to open the tour. Don't think it will interfere with the CD. How much more time can they spend on it anyway? It has to be pretty much 95% done. Maybe Axl wants to play with the mix but I can't believe they won't have something done and ready to be released before they start touring again. It would be stupid to do that. It's impossible to work on a CD and tour.

The message has changed:

According to my informants, another EUROPEAN TOUR is 'in the making' for February,
starting on the 24th in Moscow, Russia.
Please keep in mind that this is nowhere near confirmed and plans can still change.

If this is the case, I just don't get why Axl would choose to drop the album while there on tour in Russia or somewhere in Europe, versus back home in the United States.. Undecided

Although, the 24th of February is still 10 days off from March 6th..

Yeah, no offense, but the Europeans also think they're going to get the album first.

Uhh... yeah right.

It'll be US first, and everyone else later. The US market is the music business & their target crowd, and it's gonna happen their first.

I say the album drops in the US first, everyone else a day or so later, at the same time a new tour leg kicks off in Asia. But then again, they also might decide to add more dates to the US leg, before heading back east.

It's a wellknown fact that albums are released on Mondays in most of Europe and on Tuesdays in North America.

Monday is the weekday before Tuesday, that's why many people assume the album will be out in Europe before USA/Canada.

Hmmm, well I was thinking more along the lines of avoiding piracy. But then again, if they release it in the U.S. on a Tuesday, then wait for the following Monday, nearly a week later, and release it in Europe, they'll set up the possibility of the same thing happening.

Any chances of it being released on the same day? Like, Tuesday in the U.S., and Wednesday in Europe, because of the time difference?

no, why would that help? Roll Eyes, just beacuse US is the main market doesn't mean they should get it before european fans, you guys aren't more fans or more important, it seems like some of you think you are

That would put the album being released same day, to avoid piracy. It has nothing to do with the U.S. market (even though that's more important).

Piracy is overrated. A couple of days isn't going to make a difference. The release of a GN'R album these days is not going to be some big event. Everything will occur pretty normally.

And to say the US is their most important market is doubtfull to say the least. The summer tour should be evidence that Europeans are more acceptive of Axls new incarnation than the US.

Exactly what it is, the american fans think they are the more important GnR fans than anyone else around the globe..... and think that CD will be released there before anywhere else...

I also find it funny that GnR CHOSE to tour europe before the USA   dont u ? :p

ok, but it's no anyway, 'cuz you can't avoid piracy i think, it's always gonna happen that some does it, and as Polluxl said, yeah piracy is a bit overrated ad doesn't affect the album sales that much, most of the time an artists album leaks before it's released it's the diehard fans that finds and downloads it and they are going to buy the record anyway

and BTW no wednesday in europe isn't tuesday in the US hihi Wink

Typical...

Get over yourself already. You were proven wrong since albums are usually released earlier in Europe.
