They should play in Russia and in Europe in general when it's a little warmer then now. They can't play outdoor in Europe now, otherwise there's no such enthusiasm. My opinion though...

i want them to come in summer for european festivals, although id be chuffed if they came back to the UK any time.  Just wanna see GNR again soon!

but realistically it would seem more likely that this would turn into a tour of Asia and Australasia

It doesn't matter when they start touring, as long as the album is turned in and ready to be released.  I hope they're in the US for the summer though

I would think they'd need to release the new album before starting a new tour.

True...

But a new single could be out by 24th feb. And if 5-6 march still is the release date I see no problem with starting a new tour...

...and Newgnr.com have been right before...  yes

i don't think they need it, if they go to places they haven't played yet, like russia they haven't been there.. and then 6 march is just days away from the 24th feb.. and as someone said by the 24 feb a single is prolly out and on the radio.. starting a tour in february and then maybe head east would be cool, the only thing is that i wold think that they would tour the states when the album is released 'cuz that's what i know of there biggest market, then europe for the summer cuz of the festivals, then south ameica and asia, but that's just specualation of course ok

Didn't Baz say awhile back that he'd see Australian fans soon?

It'll most likely be an Asia/Australia tour kicking off in Dubai, U.A.E., with a couple European shows, but mostly it'll be elsewhere.

They need to get the album out first though. Or simutaniously kick off a new leg with the album's worldwide release. They know that though, that's why they are going to prep after the holidays.

It's happening folks!  ok peace

I just hope the It's happening folks line actually COMES TRUE.  I've just seen it so many times, its hard to believe.  I guess cancelling shows actually benefits the fans more than it hurts them for once.  Bring on the album then worry about the tour...

The DJ on Hair Nation/Sirius (Tawn Mastery) just put out the tour starting up again in Russia as a statement of fact.  Of course, she's just going on rumors, like she did with the Rolling Stone release date in November.  IF it is in fact true what do you think that means exactly?  Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but they had a very successful European tour over the summer and while their North American tour was also successful they definitely hit more bumps in the road and cancelled dates here and there.  The tours start was pushed back and their was supposed to be a second leg of the tour, which now doesn't look likely.  You think they feel more comfortable playing overseas at this point?  Do they get a little better response?  Not as much criticism from media/fans?  Or is it all just a coincidence?

I think so too.  I also think they need to make some shows up here to the fans that got slighted due to the cancellations.

When is this festival in Dubai?  I suppose I could see them doing it and then playing some dates in the area since it has not been covered on the tour thus far.

i think it only has to do with the album release....
