Which headlining shows were packed/close to sold out in 2006?

We already know that the following shows were sold out:

NYC Hammerstein (4)
Hammersmith Apollo
Stockholm
Oslo
Helsinki (2)
Glasgow
Birmingham
Wembley Arena (2)
The Warfield (2)
Las Vegas (night 1)
MSG
Quebec
Halifax
Calgary
Los Angeles (night 1)

I know that the 2nd Vegas show was very close to sold out, and so was night 2 in LA.  Also, Chicago was close to being sold out as well.  What are your impressions of the other shows?

Pretty good overall wouldn't you say?

manchester, uk show. i'd say 95% full, around 20,000 people. the MEN arena is the biggest indoor arena in europe, with similar capacity to madison square garden.

the audience were fantastic, axl said "you guys are awesome" twice during the show

Well 2 shows I was?at looked sold out: Budapest & London 30th.

But in terms of 'most succesful' I would say Download @ Donington Park was 'the' show. It was Philadelphia of this tour... and the one that ended up great. I think it was after that show it all looked way BETTER.

Right after that show I would put Inland Invasion as it was the show that started NA tour and a lot of 'general' people saw it (festival audience, live stream...).

I heard certain things about Sunrise, but I gotta put in a word for Tampa. 2nd show on the NA tour, and it was flawless.

The Edmonton, Alberta show was as close to a sell out as you can get.  The place was packed.  Around 15 thousand or so

Apart from maybe 200 seats right at the back the place was packed, it certainly was a great show, I remember Axls comments well   yes

minneapolis was near sell out and the band loved it there.

The Mpls show was great and there was a few thousand more there than in '02 but it wasn't really close to being a sellout, the second level was mostly empty. The newspapers said it was 9,100 people and the Target Center can hold up to 16,000 for a sell out concert.

13,000 would be considered a sellout at the Target Center, since the seats behind the stage do not count. If the seats behind the stage were included, it would be 17-19 thousand for a sellout, depending on the number of the behind the stage seating.   I think alot of the "half empty" arena comments that naysayers make (I am not saying you are one) come from thinking the capacity of an end stage concert is the same as a basketball or sporting event set up when the entire arena is used.  The Target center can fit around 19,000, but for a typicall end stage concert it is 13,000.
