Who cares how anyone plays them. Slash & Izzy created the pieces, not BBF, Finck, Bucket or Fortus. They are just improvising Slash's solos.

Axl had a big hand in how that music was wrote instrumentally too. Don't forget that.

He and Izzy's name are on almost all of the instrumental-music credits along with Slash, and Axl & Izzy get most of the lyric credits, with some Duff songs here and there in GNR's catalog.

The research is scattered all over the internet. Just look it up.

Thats strange I've never seen that before, even if he was given credit to the music you still have no clue to ho much he brought to the table and the likely hood that he had a big hand in how the music is still extremely slim.

Dude, everyone says Axl was this power hungry neo-nazi style artist, and if that was true he certainly would have dictated how the band played on songs like November Rain, Estranged etc.

So, if you look at it from that point of view, it might be thanks to Axl that we have such beautiful, bluesy, emotional solos..

You wouldn't think he'd let them write any old thing, would ya?

I am not even here to change the subject of this thread, but when I see somethings sometimes, I just have to state my feelings so....people tend to think Axl was the so called "neo-nazi" I look at this like this:  I think that because the rest of the band became more and more dependent on their lifestyle of decadence, I believe Axl felt someone needed to be in control.  Anyone agree?

Secondly, I think that for me it's hard to choose who I think is the better guitarist, because all involved have such incredible talent and their own unique individual style of playing.  From that being said, it sort of depends what kind of playing is music to each individuals ears, I think that because the original band made these songs together, it would probably be fair to say that the older generation of fans would be more drawn to that, where as the younger generations are definately more open to the newer guitarist style of playing.

He recieves 40,2% of the royalties from AFD, so go figure.
