Thiago Sarkis of the Imhotep webzone has compiled a list of 155 hard rock/heavy metal stars' favorite albums of 2006 and has posted it online at this location (scroll down the page). The artists had total freedom to pick between one and five releases (albums or DVDs in any style) from 2006. The following is complete list of the musicians offering their picks for the finest releases of last year:

24/7 Spyz are friends of Ron's and I think he played guitar on their record on some songs. He has their link on his myspace.

Guthrie Govan is a guitar player from the U.K. and Erotic Cakes is his debut CD. Ron played on one song as a guest on Rhode Island shred. I have it. Its pretty good.

24/7 Spyz are friends of Ron's and I think he played guitar on their record on some songs. He has their link on his myspace.

He actually produced the album for the guys. It is definitely one of the best albums of this year. The Spyz are best described by themselves as "Heavy Metal Soul". Jimi Hazel is also, imho, one of the most talented guitarists currently out there. Check them out at : http://www.24-7spyz.com

I know a lot of those people, but I'm from Europe and most of the people are also from european bands. So it depends on from where you are if the are recognizable or not I think.  peace

ah fair enough, i know heavy metal is pretty big in europe... also Guns is really the only heavy rock band i listen to.
