Bruce Springsteen - Trapped
Jimmy Cliff wrote the original. Springsteen's version is so much better. I thought at first it Springsteen's own song, given how good it actually is.

I love the Pantera version of Planet Caravan =) but still not sure which i like better, the Sabbath one is still fantastic. I think it depends on my mood tbh =)
Agree with the Whiskey In The Jar, Metallica version, wherever that is above. And Man Who Sold The World.

Iron Maiden's "Doctor Doctor" (Original by UFO)Jimi Hendrix's "All Along The Watchtower" (Original by Bob Dylan)Judas Priest's "The Green Manalishi (With The Two-Pronged Crown)" (Original by Fleetwood Mac)Judas Priest's "Diamonds and Rust" (Original by Joan Baez)Megadeth's "Anarchy In The U.K." (Original by The Sex Pistols)Pantera's "Planet Caravan" (Original by Black Sabbath)Samhain's "Halloween II" (Original by The Misfits)Samhain's is better than the Misfits, which is odd as it's still Danzig singing.?

As someone else mentioned the Johnny Cash version of Hurt is far superior to the original. This is coming from a huge NiN fan as well who loves the original. Even Trent agrees the Cash version is better. Trent once said (and I'm paraphrasing since I can't find the original source, but I know he said it) "It's like losing your girlfriend.. She just isn't yours anymore."
I actually listened to American IV on Saturday night, pretty good album overall.

I think Cash did a good job on the Hurt cover, sure, but I still prefer the original. Those are Trent's words and thoughts on the song, and no one sings them better than the man himself And no, I don't care if Trent thinks Cash's version is better - I still stick by my opinion

Edge of Sanity's version of the Manowar song 'Blood of My Enemies'
I can't really tell if it's better than the original, but it is sheer awesomeness... I just fell out of my chair the first time I heard it!
