I think they are silly. They were not taken by anybody at HTGTH, they should be taken off.......
Oh wow, good idea.
Maybe they're there so there's no fucking doubt about who's scans are stolen (in case anybody tries)?
Maybe they're there so that people who have the possivbility to buy the magazine will do it?
Maybe they're there to sure other sites won't post the scans because they can't stand mentioning a name of another site and because the scanner only intended them to be posted here for us (and not all over the Internet)?
/jarmo
If you don't own rights to a pic, you should take your name off it.
Looks to me as if they are already all over the internet anyway.

It's pretty obvious the watermarks don't claim to "own" the pic.

I wonder what the magazines take would be on that?
You can get mad about it if you want, I'm just saying I think it is not cool to do. If somebody (a poster) took some great pics of Axl at a concert and then put HTGTH across it, that is one thing. Taking professional photos and doing the same thing is lame IMO, no matter who does it. To be honest, I think it takes a lot of nerve to get pissy about it too.

And what do you think of the fact that she went out to look for the magazine, paid for it, ripped it apart, scanned the pictures and posted them for you without asking for anything in return?
I think this is the last time you'll see any of her scans here. I don't think she'll want to deal with this shitstorm again just because she thought it was a nice thing to credit the only GN'R board she posts at as the origin of these scans.

That was nice of her, and I think everybody appreciates it, I sure do.
Kujo and I sent plenty of updates when we didn't have to either. We just did it to be an active part of the GnR Community, and share what was going on. Just like many other posters here send updates when they don't have to.
None of us asked for one thing in return. A simple thanks was good enough.

damn these are great pictures. thanks for posting them! he's such a stylish badass. he looks exactly like what a rich rock star should look like in 2006. i like the one where he's sitting in the helicopter reading the tabloid. and you can't beat the big pimp in an expensive suit with his chick wearing nothing but shoes.

post the god damn pictures without watermark and nobody whines.
several thank you in one thread is enought credit, why does she care if someones use them somewhere else, she ain't getting her money back anyway.
if she does it for " credit " and to be sure that people know that she bought the magazine with her money and what ever, then she needs to find a job
if she does it to be nice LIKE EVERYFUCKIN BODY here who post things when they find them, then she quits the watermark, wich are so 1993 anyway.
other than that BIG THANKS to those who posted the clear ones.
PEACE,

To put your watermark on them is to claim ownership or rights - You don't have either. I work for a major photo agency and can guarantee this. Vogue and the photographer can ask to be compensated for damages. How many people here would've bought the magazine? May have been 1000, may have been 1 - now it's probably zero. I agree with SLCPUNK that to get upset about people calling you out is incorrect. You freely banish and delete some posts that are opinion yet a post containing illegal photos is ok?
Nice pix though.

Guys stop talking all the time about the watermarks.
Can we find anyone who could translate it properly from Italian into English?
I gues Mr. D'Orazio says some interesting stuff how he met Axl this spring in NY... refers to that Axl's act photo with skull as "MEMENTO MORI" ?
that's a good one!
... he continues that in the meantime he had some retrospective exhibitions and met again in London at the end of the European tour... calls the photo session with Sasha a "photographic farce" (if I understood correctly he took 4 - 5 shots and made an album of them)
I'm not an expert... I understand like every fifth word in it ?
- took only one semester of Italian language at the university
Now I regret ?
just a bit
