I thought we concluded when the setlist first was posted that "If The World" wasn't a new song and was shorthand for a Michael Monroe song.

I really don't think that rhiad or citr is going to be on this record. As early as they introduced rhiad (same time as CD, maddy, ect) if it was going to be on the record they would have definitely been playing it live. They would have had no reason not to because everyone has already heard it. Personally I never liked the track anyway and think Axl has something better in store for that song slot. Maybe it will make an appearence on a follow up album.

They have 3 albums worth of songs, don't expect the names already known to be on there. What I have noticed is that Chinese Democracy (dec 17 2006), Better, and TWAT has synthetic chinese music mixed in at the beginning of them. Listen close because I am familiar with the sounds. Perhaps all the songs maybe like that if they are going to be on chinese democracy.

seriously I know we are guessing at this point but do you really think rhiad will be on the record? Its not a great song (atleast the live version we have heard isn't) and they played it like once or twice and then shelved it and no one has said anything about it since. If it is on the record I hope they have improved it a whole lot....

I did a search for: "if the world" lyrics and it came up with tons of hits from all different artists. Unless someone from the GN'R camp actually confirms it as a new song, I think we have to consider it more likely than not to be a cover (like 'Sway', which was also in the setlist picture).
