That'd be great. People should realise there's another dimension and sound to Guns and Roses than just "Welcome to the Jungle". It wouldn't just be some random acoustic show in New York city that you read about on the Internet. It would be well publicised.

There are so many songs they could use. "Used to Love Her"? Uh.... no.

Patience
The Blues
November Rain
Knocking on Heavens Door
Madagascar

I think this would be a great idea/opportunity if they were invited to play by Neil.

I think it would be an awesome thing to see but can't really picture it happening. Not sure GNR fits in with their vibe. Can you imagine Axl singing "I used to love her but I had to kill her" to children with speech impediments? That would be a bit surreal.

Stupid, so there's no other songs they could play?? Roll Eyes

Damn, just a joke, no need to start calling names

You should have seen the cover they wanted to do. It wasn't a glove, believe me.

you could play at least half of their songs on acoustic and they would sound alright.

Itd probably be more like this realistically:

1. Welcome To The Jungle
2. Mr. Brownstone
3. Better
4) Knockin'
5) IRS
6) Madagascar
7) The Blues
Cool Sweet Child O' Mine
9) You're Crazy
10) Used To Love Her
11) Patience

(not really in that order but those are songs I can see them playing)

^^for example

Yeah and I forgot November Rain which would be pretty cool. ^

I'm sure there's alot of songs that would kickass, especially ones we havent heard yet, but out of the ones we know, that setlist makes the most sense. ok

actually, they do play in front of the kids, they are usually on stage behind the bands, sitting in bleacher style seats.

I don't think Axl screaming "Do you know where the fuck you are?" would work very well either... But still, a fantastic idea, the last acoustic show they did seemed great.

I am trying to pick songs that I have heard GNR play acoustic, or songs that are acoustic tunes.  For example, I'm not sure how SCOM or Better would be acoustic...plus, I am trying to toss in some tunes that aren't played much....Here goes:

Open with either Jungle or something off of CD
Patience
Dust N Bones
Sailing
Mr. Brownstone
November Rain
IRS
You're Crazy
CITR-for some reason I think this would be perfect
Close the show with PC, so we hear GOOD FUCKING NIGHT!!!!!!!!!

i vividly remember IRS, the energy axl put into it was electrifying! he was really manic during this song. the bit "when you first told me you were gone...etc" you know always sounds awesome live as he puts a lot of anger into "thats the truth and heres the worst yet" and that was magnified a million times at that show. plus i think the fact that youre in a tiny room standing right infront of him also helps you really absorb the emotion
