No I Used To Love Her ?

it was played after think about you...

this show was fucking great, bumblefoot gave me his pick  smoking during rocket queen and it was funny because he gave me his pick right before his solo in rocket queen so he had to run back and get a new one, and even walked up to me later on in the show and sort of bent down so i can take a pic with my phone which was awesome. tommy fucking rocks!! we kept on singing all the new songs when he was right in front of me and  kept on getting a smile every time i sang to the new songs along with leatherebel and at the end of irs he shook my hand and gave me his pick  smoking got a hand shake from axl which was awesome  drool robin was amazing today ( love that guy) wore his new RF shirt  and Robin finck shirt from 02  for the both times i had pit and he had  a smile every time he saw me and while smiling at me he would even pull the front of his shirt and say nice shirt  Grin sorry if some of this might not make some sense...

here the pic of bumblefoot i waved at him to get closer to me so i can get a better shot and i did  peace

Security sure was weak tonight. My friend and I were able to sneak into the Pit! Met Garry and Jack over there! Fun night!

Axl fell going down the ramp during Live and Let Die and cracked himself up, it was fun Smiley

As far as the rest of the show...I'm actually a little hesitant to post my honest opinion on this message board because too many people are gonna start calling me a retard or telling me I'm wrong for giving my true opinion on the show.

I will say this though: I went Sunday night, I don't regret going last night, but had I also gone Tuesday night, I would have been really bummed. To be perfectly clear, those in attendance seeing the band for the first time last night got what I would describe as a stellar performance. I personally found myself bored for a lot of the show. When I go see a band multiple nights in the same venue, I do so in hopes of seeing a lot of different material both nights.

I understand they don't have many realistic alternative setlist options at this point - I don't expect them to open with anything other than Jungle or to unveil more new material until the album is out and they played 22 songs, but maybe it was something about so much of the set being in the exact same order both nights I went (and apparently Tuesday night as well) that made it seem, well, scripted, polished and predictable.

The new material was nice to hear again, I'm happy to absorb those non-leaked songs as much as possible as they grow on me more everytime I hear them (especially IRS and The Blues). Rocket Queen and Down on the Farm were great. It was nice to see Izzy again, but same criticism applies where I felt I was watching a re-run from a different part of the venue. He's still the man, he has my respect for being civil to everyone in the past and present GN'R camp.

Thanks to Mr. Thal for his Christmas cheer - that was a fun surprise.

Other observations: The place was 80% full when Guns went on, and probably 60% empty by the time the encore came around. People were much more subdued and tired than Sunday night, at least that's my observation. There were a LOT of kids in the audience, which I didn't particularly notice on Sunday. I'm talking 6 year olds standing until 2:15am - that was impressive.

Robin was most definately drunk/celebrating the end of the tour a little early, Frank rushed November Rain which is understandable since he was probably nervous/hoping his drums didn't catch on fire again (Frank was GREAT the whole night, normally rushing would be a criticism, but he had a great excuse to be nervous...he's my favorite non-Axl member of the band now). Ron's Mr. Grinch thing was great as I said, but I have never been a fan of the Don't Cry solo...it goes on about 3 minutes too long in my opinion. Robin's solo was quite sloppy last night actually, which is fine, he was just drunk having fun...but Sunday's Robin solo was defiantely the better of the two for me.

Axl's stage banter was much more engaging last night than on Sunday. His 'thank you' list recital was funny. He also did a good job of bitching out the jerkoff that threw the cup and made a mess of the stage - "You like ruining everyone's show, fuckhead? Now we gotta mop up the whole fuckin stage cause some guy thinks he's cute..." Good stuff.

Oh - You Could Be Mine was absolutely awesome. Best I've seen it performed out of the 3 shows I've seen this year.

Merry Christmas/Happy New Year to the band and to everyone reading the updates...cheers  beer

Now I'm gonna fall asleep at my desk  ok

What was it like hearing 3 new songs in a row? That's the most they've ever played in a row before?

It was great. I was surprised at the crowd's reaction to "Madagascar." Many knew the song although it was not one of the leaks.

The stands ran out of XL shirts during the last two nights. I had saved about $100 for shirts since October and was BUMMED that I walked out of the show without a shirt. I hope they add shirts to the online store soon...

I find it hard to believe the "prositute chant" would've consisted of more than 10 people, unless there was an actual prostitute in the crowd.  I'd be willing to bet 85% of the people there had no idea "Prostitute" is a possible working title to a unreleased, unheard song for the upcoming album.
