They started out as a cheesy Bon Jovi style hair band, but they grew into more of a metal band by the time Slave To The Grind and Subhuman Race came out.
And now without Baz, they seem to have gone back to that cheesy hair-band style they began with.

1 hit wonders don't have albums debut at #1. Especially considering the hits you mentioned weren't even on the album that went to #1. Also I'd be interested to see who you consider a great singer if you don't consider Bach one.

"cheesy" now thats just stupid. Bon jovi is weak compared to those legends. Slave to the grind walks all over there ass. Sebastian is great, i dont hear anyone else with a voice that powerful. How are they one hit wonders. They just released there albums at wrong times i think. They released the first album when people had gone off hair metal, then the 2nd album when grundge began to take over then the 3rd, well just to late really when rock was pretty much dead. So no wonder they faded out and never became as famous as they deserve.

You know I never thought of it like that, but its very true. They were constantly in the right place at just the wrong time. Sucks cause they were really good.

I don't know what it means but I've found it on the Snakepit site.
Before much more time passes, we wanted to alert Keri Kelli fans that Keri is on tour now with Skid Row. Keri was a guitarist in SLASH's Snakepit and is doing the honors with the Skids now. Here are the coming dates:
9/3 Nottingham, UK Rock City
9/4 Bristol, UK Bristol Bierkeller
9/5 Falmouth, UK Princess Pavilion
9/7 London, UK Electric Ballroom
9/8 Milton Keynes, UK Woughton Centre
9/9 West Midlands, UK J.B.'s
9/10 Bradford, UK Rio's
9/30 Akron, OH Tangier
10/06 Fredericton, NB Aiken University Centre
Keri is really a nice guy, so go out and say hello for us and for yourself!

Can't see
Snake
or
Scotti
leaving no chance, possibilities are A) One of them is ill and he is a stand-in B) They got some new songs which require a 3 guitar line-up C) He's a friend coming along for the ride and guesting on some songs D) He's part of some support act who are touring with them.

Yeah, if Snake left the band I don't think they could even call it Skid Row anymore.

I thought this thread would be about the SB Skid Row since the original Skid Row was the one with Gary Moore

I checked Keri's site (
www.kerikelli.com
). I still don't understand his thing with SR, but I think noone left, and Keri's only playing with them or (less likely) one of his projects is playing with them.
Hello,
Hope everybody is having a great summer season.
Just wanted to drop a quick note regarding upcoming shows I'm playing with Skid Row.
The last few dates have been absolutely killer!!
The guys are great, the tunes are great, I really couldn't ask for more.
I hope to see some of you at the Big Rawk Shows!!!
September 7th in London will also be my B-Day!
Below are the current dates...
Later,
KK

Maybe one of the guitarists got sick or had something else they had to do so Kerri's filling in temporarily?

sorry i know i'm a little late on this but i support the people saying bach is one of the most gifted vocalists ever. u cannot deny his unfuckingbelievable voice...... "I Remember You" alone is awesome the way he holds those notes and sings with such feeling, especially for someone who didn't write the lyrics to the song ha.

Right on, dude. Bach's one of the best rock vocalists of all time. He may be a prick, but nobody can hit some of the notes he hits.

The original Skid Row was a Dublin band, Garry Moore and Phil Lynott were both members

According to Metal Sludge Dave hurt his hand and asked Keri to fill in for him
I found this over at the
Adler's Appetite
Message Board, so now we know why he's joining the band for a few shows
I wish i could see them on the UK Tour but unfortunately they're not playing Manchester this time....bastards!

Rumours have been circulating that Dave 'Snake' Sabo had become friendly with SEBASTIAN BACH, and that therefore a SKID ROW reunion was imminent. We contacted Rachel Bolan, who issued the following statement: "That is all false. (Singer) Johnny (Solinger) is going nowhere. He has a project on the side (which I am involved in from a songwriting standpoint) but he is "THE" singer for Skid Row. Actually in 2006 Johnny will have been in the band longer than Baz. Which incidentally Snake has not been in contact with. So let this put the rumors to rest. This is the band. We are finishing up the worldwide deal with SPV as you read this and plan to have the new CD on the shelves soon."
