Brain: Is he still in the Band?

I know Merk said he was and we were told he was taking a break to be with his newborn, but his newborn ain't so new anymore and no one talks about him and he hasn't shown up in the cali shows yet, any idea what's going on with him? I heard he has another band, maybe he's more focused on them at the moment?

The most important factor is - out or not - there's a drummer in place and GnR keeps moving forward...

Something is starting to tell me he might be out....perhaps they are negoiating his credits/cut of CD $$$ before they release it.....just guessing

So, she is the only one that needs to be there? This ain't the 1950s anymore. If I could have taken a whole year off when my kids were born, I would have done  it. The development and connections made in those first months can't be replaced. If Brain is in position to take some time off and GNR are cool with, he should most definitely do it.

exactly what i think.. i think maybe brain is in the band 'til his contract expires and then he'll leave or it will be official that he has left.. i don't really care of wich drummer is playing as long as it's good and they both are, i dunno who i think is the better one

at this point, GNR is a revolving door of musicians.. Kinda like WASP... theres a reason Axl is a huge WASP fan

Because they've named him as a band member - along with Brain - and he's touring with them?  Again, recording on the album doesn't necessarily mean erasing / re-recording Brain's parts...

I'm not saying I disagree with you, but at this point, it's all speculation.
