DAMNIT! I usually watch Robin & Company all morning on CNN Headline News and I JUST turned CNN off for the day so I missed it.

Glad someone caught it!

I'm sure it'll be repeated soon.

It didn't say much other than that "Izzy Straddlin joined Axl Rose onstage last night for their show in L.A."

Something along those lines.

Izzy makin it on CNN for playn with Axl....Wow! I cant wait for CD to be released. 2007 may be the best year to be a GNR fan. Yes, there are alot of people waiting for Axl to fail, but there are 100 times more waiting for him to return to his throne.

Seems to be a buzz about things after Axl wrote the letter... GN'R is everywhere. I live in Iceland and there was an article about Axl letter in the biggest newspaper here.

Btw. It's cool that Izzy has fun with the new band and enjoy's playing with them. And it's even better that Axl has his old friend back beer

On MTV.com as well:

Ex-Guns N' Roses guitarist Izzy Stradlin joined the band for five songs during its Sunday gig in Los Angeles, Reuters reports. Stradlin ? who left the fold 15 years ago but has made sporadic appearances at GN'R reunion shows ? played and sang harmonies to "Paradise City," "Patience," "Nightrain," "Used to Love Her" and "Think About You." ...

That's an interesting article.  I didn't realize Izzy "filled in" for Gilby in '93.

will also mark the end of a two-month North American tour for Rose and his largely unknown bandmates.

Unknown by people with a very short rock n roll attention span.

I thought that, the way they tell it is hardly a story. Ex band member makes it for reunion show shock horror! MTV's a joke most of the time.

Or you could like at it like this... Axl plays a whole tour and can't attract that kind of attention.  But when Izzy shows up, it's news.  People really do love Guns N' Roses, the band that wrote and recorded four awesome albums.
