Thanks for all the positive comments guys! I first started visiting this site in 2000, I just never have really posted in message boards or forums anywhere. (Never felt the need to) However after this little event, I had to post to the most hardcore GNR fans that I know of to tell them all about the experience.

I'm going to take this time to answer some of the questions comments that this thread has brought up. Like I mentioned earlier I have been lucky enough to see GNR 5 time this year and every show rocked! (Twice at Hammerstein thanks to the HTGTH lottery, once in Vegas, once at Inland Invasion, and then this past Sunday at Gibson) I gotta tell you though the hammerstein shows were unbelievable but the show this past sunday blew me away! (For obvious reasons <THE MIC>)

Seeing Izzy strut out there for 5 (FIVE!!!!) songs! And he was having fun! Working the stage walking all over, it was just a great moment and the first time theyve played together in LA in the past 15 years! and even though I wont be attending the next two shows I hope he comes back and does it for the fans again! I want every true GNR fan to be able to have that wonderful experience of seeing two guys who will be lifelong friends who changed the landscape of rock and then see them perform together! Cant say enough good things about it.

How we got the backstage passes, and who we saw floating around in the artist lounge: I have some connections at a large managment agency, geffen records, and mtv. We're all a little younger if you could tell from the pics, so most of the time my connections get hit up for backstage at the Killers, 30 seconds to mars, and MCR. So whenever I ask for anything GNR they usually can hook me up pretty easily. Backstage I got to say what up to Robin, he had some close friends there and was hanging out backstage damn near to when they went on and all the way through Baz's set. Andrew Dice Clay (The comedian) was trying to get back to the dressing rooms, and then finally got back there. (Could be friends with axl?) and got to BS with Ralph Saenz for awhile (Lead singer of the cover band Metal Skool goes by Micheal Starr on stage, who by the way play every Monday in LA at the Key Club on the strip, If youre a late 80s rock fan YOU MUST GO TO THIS SHOW WHEN YOURE IN LA. They rock every show and are great guys.)

Guns went on about 1145 and were incredible, I just wished they would have played Rocket Queen my only complaint. BEST performance of "Better" out of the 5 shows I've seen, Axl nailed it vocally. I was never really a big fan of it live because I thought they couldnt capture the "demo" that I have heard. However this time I was into it, and so were the majority of the fans. The guy behind me who clearly wished it was still 1988 exclaimed when the song ended "Wow, Where I can I get that?" So "better" is my vote for the first single. So we rocked out the rest of the night then Baz came out, my michelle was great, much better timing then ive seen them do in the past when switching of lyrics. Then axl makes the comments about "keeping up with the holiday spirit" The place went crazy when Izzy strolled out. I mean reallllllllllly loud, I was so afraid that he was going to play one song and leave. (Hammerstein he didnt come back out for Paradise City I was very dissapointed) So when he played 5 songs it was a fans dream come true. (I'm waiting for estranged to be played, I dont even have to be there guys just please play it live!)

So they come on for the encore, Paradise City sounds as good as ever, Axl exclaims "Good.... Fuckin... Night!" The mic gets launched in the air lands right in our hands. We were shocked... Our initial reaction was hold it up like a pop fly at a baseball game. Then I remember reading about security, and about what beta posted security not going after the mic. I personally have seen security head towards where the mic lands twice. What they were doing I dont know but this time we didnt want to find out. We made a B-line for the door using the VIP exit. Hiding it under one of our shirts until we got in the car, once we got in the car it was so surreal and it seemed like a scene out of a movie. Comments like "Dude, I think it has Axl's scent!" and "The most shocking frontman of all time just sang 20 fucking songs into that fucking mic man!" and "Shit, its still on do you think anyone can hear us?" Then we took the time to ask Axl a few questions as if he would actually be listening. We then went home took a shitload of pics, and then made the initial post.

As for selling the mic... NO FUCKING WAY. I will sell my kidney before selling this mic.

P.S. The guy who came on here, or was it mygnr.com a while ago and said her heard the blues studio playing out of a window in santa monica either really did his homework and made a very good hoax, Or he's telling the truth. I know someone who worked in that building and told me that it was very possible that that could happen. Also everything he said about the DMV being across the street and such is true. Always wanted to throw my 2 cents in on that.

Andrew Dice Clay (The comedian) was trying to get back to the dressing rooms, and then finally got back there. (Could be friends with axl?)

He opened for Guns once.

And, on this - Vic's is telling the truth, I've known of him for almost 6 years now, dating back to the GNRX days. He doesn't go on the boards to post bullshit, he's legit.
