Ooh  yes, Downward spiral is filled with portrayal of very dark corners of of a human mind in middle of  losing itself.
The tilte track of the said album would prolly be my choise.
What is left oft the protagonist of the album just screaming in agony on the backround while this cynical voice calmly and with some glee explains what has happened.
"he couldn't believe how easy it was.."

Chant of the Ever Circling Skeletal Family by David Bowie on Diamond Dogs.  It just freaked me out for some reason.  It's creepy and has a creepy name.  Boogie woogie!

There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

I don't think I've encountered a song that has creeped me out yet... but when I do I'll keep you all posted.  hihi

The closest I've ever come to being freaked out by a song was with Mr. Bungle's "Quote Unquote" but I think of it was more of a feeling of metal meets twisted carnival music that blew my mind.  drool

in the movie "blue velvet" theres a part where a guy lipsynchs a song called "In Dreams" by Roy Orbison,  and that kinda creeped me out the first time i saw it.

My World by GNR

Its sheer awfulness comes as a surprise even after all these years, how a talented band could hit such a low, even if it was intended as a joke....

For those of you in the know, put The Manics oad to the Holocaust - "The Intense Humming Of Evil" off the Holy Bible next time you get a lightning storm, the opening sound of the machinery with the sound bite reading from the Nuremburg trials with the rain, thunder and lightning all around raises the song in my opinion to an evil level.

The lyrics alone are disturbing:

"You were what you were
Clean cut, unbecoming
Recreation for the masses
You always mistook fists for flowers
Welcome welcome soldier smiling
Funeral march for agonys last edge
6 million screaming souls
Maybe misery - maybe nothing at all
Lives that wouldnt have changed a thing
Never counted - never mattered - never be
Arbeit macht frei
Transports of invalids
Hartheim castle breathes us in
In block 5 we worship malaria
Lagerstrasse, poplar trees
Beauty lost, dignity gone
Rascher surveys us butcher bacteria
Welcome welcome soldier smiling
Soon infected, nails broken hungers a word
6 million screaming souls
Maybe misery - maybe nothing at all
Lives that wouldnt have changed a thing
Never counted - never mattered - never be
Drink it away, every tear is false
Churchill no different
Wish the workers bled to a machine"

^That is #1 on the list.

I would add:

My Dark Life - Elvis Costello
Straight to Hell - The Clash
Play With Fire  - Rolling Stones
Exit - U2
