You know, it seems those who like it.. LOVE IT!
and then the others just say "yeah, its the worst of the leaks"...

Well, I'm on the positive side, I think this is the greatest song. This is deffinetly a steap above any of the other songs, old or new, lyric-wise, and Brian May's guitar is fantastic also.

Unfortanatly, I dont think there will be a spot on CD for it, but there's always hope....

When it gets down to the last verse, 4 minutes into the song....
WOW!!! That part is just fantastic....
I listen to the song about 10 times a day, and is the only song that I can have on repeat for an hour or more and not get bored with it. It is so fantastic, I hope we get a more final version sooner or later.....

Also, let me say that the only part of the song that I dont like...
I actually can't stand it....
Is the piano intro for the first 20 or so seconds....
It's just annoying, and hurts my ears....
Once the lyrics start though, WOAH!

I thought Richard said it would be on CD? I'd love to hear a mix with Robin, Richard and Bucket on it more than Brian May

only part i think is not 100 percent perfect is the bridge in the beginning ("you decide, if i don't have to... I'm imagining"). all in all could be the defining epic ballad from cd (if it's on it).

i think with singles like "better" and "catcher" you would'nt have to worry if the album is not mass-compatible enough... if those songs don't succeed, you can't say you didn't try. for me, both songs are a mixture (or intersection) between real art and perfect entertainment.

Chinese Democracy intro is awesome. That should be the new opening song to GN'R shows.

Well had I known or I'd been shown back when I longed you'd take me
To break the charge that brought me home and all that won't erase me

I never would know that I could
No matter what you'd pay me.
Replay the part, you stole my heart
I should have known you're crazy

Thinking about those parts give me the shivers. Instant classic. The melody is great in itself, but Axls signature voice is what elevates it to ?berness.

Agreed. We have Josh Freese to thank for that.

why? freese wrote or inspired that? (besides: maybe we also have to thank "smells like teen spirit" for the riff?)

back in 99 it was said that freese came up with the riff and wrote the song with axl

Hmm.. The version we have is really old and I guess, if it's gonna be released ever, it will be very different. So, I'm sure I would love to hear the final version.

The other day I downloaded the album ?Twelve Stops Home? by ?The Feeling? (i had been recommended the album by a friend). The album is ok, not heavy rock or anything like that, so I took it for what it was. There?s a track on there called ?Fill My Little World? and I can?t quite put my finger on it, but the track reminds me of Guns n?Roses ?Catcher in the Rye?. I?m not sure if it is simply down to the pace of the song, piano sounds, drum beats of tone in the singers voice.

Compare:
?Twelve Stops Home? 02:09 (onwards) into the track

with
?Catcher in the Rye? 02:16 (onwards) into the track

..both tracks feel me with the same feelings Smiley
