I care about having the Catcher instrumental because Catcher in the Rye is one of the greatest guns n roses songs of all time.

From now on, we will start deleting all requests for the leaked GN'R songs in the threads.
People who still post requests on the board could end up getting banned.
/jarmo
1. It doesn't matter if the vocals are removed or not, it's still official material and cannot be requested here under the rules of the board.
2. Also, it's really fucking annoying to see your same request about 20 times in the same thread.
Alternatively, keep requesting leaked official material and get your ass banned, it would certainly sort out "2." for the rest of us.

It's a great song, but the vocals make it a great song as well as the music.... why do you want an instrumental of it so much?!! Don't you like the one with vocals?!!

LOL, at least you're persistant. Were you head of your High School's Debate Team?
"I want you to make it cause I am a real fan."
"If you were a real fan you would make it."
"Make it cause I want to hear it."
"Make it tonight."
"A real fan would make it now, cause I want to hear it."
"I want to hear it cause it is a great song, make it I dare you."
"If you make it I will stop, chicken."
"Satan demands you make, you no fan, no making nothing. Be something make it cause I want it."
"Make it."

I know you guys probably have a zillion posts on this song but i really do think its the best new track ive heard. I saw them 3 times in the uk (manchester, download and opening night in sheffield!) and all of the new songs sound amazing! But CITR is just a peice of art, Axl sounds amazing on the leaked version so i can only imagine that the studio version (if indeed there is one?) is just going to blow me away! Going out in manchester with my gnr basketball vest on tonight but they only ever play 'sweet child' which doesnt get boring but a bit of mr brownstone wouldnt go a miss....

Catcher in the Rye
When all is said and done
We're not the only ones
Who look at life this way
That's what the old folks say
But every time I?d see them
Makes me wish I had a gun
If I thought that I was crazy
Well I guess I'd have more fun
Guess I'd have more fun
Ooh the Catcher in the Rye again
Ooh won't let ya get away from his gun
It's just another day like today
You decide
If I don't have to
Then they'll find
And I won't ask you
At anytime
Or long thereafter
If it's cold outside
As I?m imaging
How it?s gonna be
All alone
(Solo)
Ooh the Catcher in the Rye again
Ooh won't let ya get away from his gun
It's just another day like today
When all is said and done
We're not the only ones
Who look at life this way
That's what the young folks say
As if they'd ever change
That's not whom I to say
But every time I'd see them
Makes me wish I had a gun
If I thought that I was crazy
Well I guess I'd have more fun
It's what used to be's not there for me
And ought to find someone that belonged insane like I do
Oh no
Not at all (repeat)
On an ordinary day
Not in an ordinary way
All at once this song I heard
No longer would it play for anybody
Or anyone
That needed comfort from somebody
Needed comfort from someone who cared
To be
Not like you
Unlike me
And then the boy took that way
From me
So that he set the wheels in motion
Haunts our memories
You were the instrument
You were the one
How a body took the body
Gave that boy a gun
Took our innocence
Beyond our stares
Some type of omen
There we got it
All alone with her to tell

Before all my posts about subjective matters there should be an IMO before the post. I took this sig down but of course it has to go back up.

I always liked this song but recently i can't get enough of it. I have been listening to it alot figuring that its not gonna be on Chinese Democracy so might as well enjoy it now. but i've read now that fortus has said in his emails that catcher will be on chinese democracy.
anyway i love the synth work and brian may's guitar solos are amazing.
no matter how many times i listen to it i still get chills at the "you were the instrument" part when the guitar comes in again. simply amazing.
if this is on chinese democracy it will be epic.

This sounds legit to me, at least. It's usually very, very obvious when a fan has mucked with a song, but here it sounds spectacular. *shrug*
It's only a matter of time before the whole thing shows up...
