give me the original masters for chinese democracy and sure, I'll do that fo you. hell, anyone want the general with the solo from prostitute and the lyrics of catcher? I'll do that too!
you can do it with the Catcher dehissed version with a program or something. I know if there can be instrumentals for irs, better, and twat then i know there can also be an instrumental for Catcher too. because i want the catcher instrumental.

It wont be a real inst. because you are going to lose a lot of the guitars, bass and percussions like what happened with oh my god when someone took off the vocals

How do you know all that will happen to Catcher unless you give it a real try? Try it and then I'll listen to it and judge for myself. Because being a gnr fan I thought you would want this like I do? I thought you would want to try it? I know the other leak instrumentals are real but the Catcher one can be too like them if someone gives it the old College try and does a professional job with it. I know it can be done because I want the Catcher instrumental.? ?

How do you know all that will happen to Catcher unless you give it a real try??
when filtering out the vocals on a song thats all been mixed together, the song is one wav/mp3 file etc. now some of the frequencies in the music will match the 'vocal frequencies' thus removing them, will weaken the sound of the whole song as it is taking elements out of the instruments aswell. You can do all you want, but you will NEVER get a true instrumental with the instruments how they were ORIGINALY mixed.
however, this can be avoided by owning the master and burning the song without vocals

greendog, since you seem to know this I challenge you to make a instrumental without axl's vocals no matter what it does to the sound. Because I want to hear and have this no matter how it turns out. But I trust you could do a professional job because you're a guns n roses fan. Will you take on the challenge to make the Catcher instrumental?

i could do a fairly decent job as it is, but that doesnt change the fact that loads of other things would be lost. because they would... im studying music technology, been a guns n roses fan has nothing to do with it... however, if thats a case... im sure you can manage it mate?
or aint you as much of a guns n roses fan as me??

lol.
and theillusion:
yes, i could do it tonight... but im not going to make somethign that will eventually circulate into the bootleg comunity and cause confusion of its origins.
its pointless, download some cubase / logic pro / cakewalk or whatever else music software that takes your fancy and do it yourself.

It's not accessible enough to be a single. It's an amazing song, but it's to "deep" if you will to be a hit for the masses...

One of the things that makes CITR so amazing to me is that it's possibly my favorite of the leaks, but the version we have is still the '99 version. I think There Was a Time and I.R.S. improved drastically between the '99 and '02 versions. Think of that level of improvement on CITR from the '99 version to present...

I care about having the Catcher instrumental because Catcher in the Rye is one of the greatest guns n roses songs of all time.
