Chinese Democracy Is Coming Some Day!!!

« Reply #680 on: March 01, 2006, 07:03:10 PM »

WOW! WOW! WOW!
I'm loving catcher in the rye! I cant imagine what the final mixes of the leaked songs will sound like, or think of what we havent heard. Once Chinese is released we all will be pleased!

If your one of those who dont like the new tracks give them some time, I guarantee they will grow on you and before you know it you will be signing the song in your head!

I like this song a LOT, i think its very intricate and some parts of it will probably be changed, it sounds like a lot of ideas been thrown down and yeah, there are parts which are kinda weird and unappealing, but there are other parts (particularly the ending/outro) that are just brilliant. ?Reminds me of Coma and Estranged, where Axl just really finds the zone at the end. ?Thankyou Axl!

I still hope Better is their single, it's the best track imo.. others you need to be into them and have multiple attentive listens

I disagree... TWAT and Catcher gave me eargasms on the first listen through. ?The first time I heard the FULL verson of Better, I didn't know what to think of it. ?A lot of people had to warm up to the metal part and all the other stuff that came after the initial first minute leak.

I like all of the songs, but I'm sure there must be something else thats a "first single".

I'm the other way... I had to warm up to the begining and then once the heavy part hit I loved the song. But I do not want it was the first single. I want a big gun that we have not heard yet as the first single.

Same here, kinda....the heavy part is what made me like the song a lot more, otherwise its pretty dull.  I find myself waiting for that particular part rather then listening to the entire song.  Still not at the "loving it" stage though.

Since everyone here is assuming that it is brain may on the guitar, do you think he is also doing some background vocals? and could he have written some of the lyrics? since Mr. May also has a good way with words Smiley

Wow, I really like this track as well.  I am pleased with all 4 leaks thus far.  All good, all different, and updated.  I anxiously await a finished recording but these demos are very good IMO

Sure

I think theres a few people on here that have confused Falcons assumption on the matter for mine.  Ive always expected GNR to receive modern rock airplay.

I'm surprised no one in their late 20's or older has picked up on the REO Speedwagon influence. Is it intentional? Anyone know if Axl has ever mentioned liking their music?

I think his voice sounds better on IRS, TWAT and Better.  Seems like this was recorded a while before all those, especially since there's no detectable Buckethead elements.  The voice seems similar to the one he uses on TWAT, in that it's not the raspier version used on Better and IRS, but on TWAT his voice seems fuller and he seems to hit the high notes a little better

Im pretty sure its real. Its obviously a well crafted song. The average person couldnt produce this as a GNR demo.
