This is what I call a BIG GUN

Yeah, I can just imagine what the studio version could be like.. Easily one of my favourites (although 'Better' and 'CITR' has completely different styles)

How does this effect the "trades"?
Who gives a fuck. The person with enough integrity to leak this to the GNR online community was obviously sick of these fucking games these guys have been playing for days on end.

right on, I think we can all give a big FUCK YOU to the assholes who held on to this tune so they could get a little attention.

On the third listen off it now .Song? just gets better and better.

now if only the album would come out so we could hear the finished version.

Yea, it may be one of the best so far.

I am sorry I doubted Axl's vision here................

you never should have, the man is a self-exiled rock god and a musical genius. i always knew what he was capable of doing and never doubted him a second.

Something to think about - Axl told Madison in 2002 that this would be the second single off the album.

I dunno about the date, but to me, the vocals sound MUCH more like they did in '02 than any of the other demos. BTW, anyone notice the apparent lack of Mr. Bucket on this one?

Yea, but unlike the other new songs, this one dosen't need him.

Ain't it fun?

« Reply #135 on: March 01, 2006, 12:56:25 AM »

Ok, so i'm only going to say what i think BASED ON THIS DEMO: I think it's boring as hell.

I just don't think theres much going on here. ?It's not really epic, nor is it very melody driven...it's just kind of there. When I first listened to Better, I was soooo interested with the song. ?When i listened to this one, my mind actually drifted and I kind of tuned the song out. ?

However, this is obviously not the final version. ?So when I can actually hear the vocals and when the drums don't suck, I will give it a proper evaluation.

You took the words right out of my mouth.

listen to the guitar at 2:27   that IS Brian May!! Cheesy

I'm very convinced it is...And especially the artificial harmonic (squeal) right around 2:47, and the way he resolves the solo--sounds alot lilke the tone and style of the solos he did on "Someone To Die For" on the Spiderman 2 soundtrack that was released back in 2004.

This is what I think is so great. These songs are so eclectic!
It has major potential. Each one of these demos offers something entirely different. I now see why former producers, bandmates, etc., have said this album will be like Led Zep 2. There statements make so much more sense when actually getting to hear the material ourselves. hihi
