I got my copy today its done by Masterplan and Licensed by Plata Music

The quality is not that great in my opinion and it also has a big MP in a circle in the Left hand corner here are some pics of the DVD casing Click for bigger pictures

According to other people, the quality is no better than the boots that we've already got.

Totally not official, they are using a photo from 1987 on the cover that should be the 1st clue.

How does the quality measure against the boot though?

Sorry, I meant the sound.  The sound is really bad on my boot and switches back and forth from hifi to mono or something like that.  I assume they cleaned that up for this release?

Actually scrub that on nightrain it does it you get the little white Hi Fi sign come up from the original VHS recording so no they have not cleaned it up either

Edit Fuck it does it a lot what a pissing rip off. I wonder where this stands with HMV could i report it

For fucks sake dude do you think im stupid or something i know the Dvd is not official i never mentioned anywhere that is was official ,the idea of the topic was to inform people of the quality of the dvd which i have. I always knew is was unofficial even when i placed the order 3 months or so ago with hmv.com my hope was that a better source had been found not them using the stuff we had already downloaded.

It's not offical. Why would Axl release a DVD of the old band it's horrible business if they release a DVD it should be Norway 06 or Rock AM Ring.

Yes "Officialally released" is different to "The Official Chicago DVD is Released" if like me you had been following this DVD you will know that it has been stalled and put off for many months so no i was not calling this DVD official

The title of your thread was Chicago 1992 Officially released. Officially released & officially licensed means the same thing. The band is backing the 'official' release of this product.

Either you can't accept you were misled, or screwed up the title, either way, it's on you.
