They should do what price did and when you buy a ticket? you also get a copy of CD. Just build the album into the cost of the ticket price, that way every ticket sold is a sold copy of CD also. Also let that copy have a bonus song or something like that to make that version speical

Yeah but if they did that CD would be near the top of the charts for months.

I don't think security wants 10 000 people handed projectiles as they walk in or out. Could be dangerous.

After Prince did that they stopped including those sales in album chart calculations unless there is an option to buy the CD with the ticket.

that was one of the things I said about a surprise release. while everyone's looking for it at the record store, your postal carrier will be slipping it into your mailbox so long as you took advantage of the pre-sales through this site Wink

Correct. It was genious idea at the time.  Although I ended up with more copies of the album than I needed.

You could always get Del James and Mysteron to run around buying every copy of CD in every store before a show and have them deliver it out to anybody with a ticket. That would fool the system and make it to Billboard.

Sorry Dave, that's a horrible idea. People don't need to be ripped off $10 to watch Guns N' Roses live.

If people want the album they'll buy the album. Money and commercial success are not the driving force behind this band.
