I think it may be John Williams. And and i wasn't bashing Chris Pitman either!

I think it's good but nothing compared to 'The Ectsacy of Gold' from The Good The Bad and The Ugly, which Metallica have used for over 20 years as their intro tape.

God I hope they aren't copying Metallica.

It defianatly sounds like movie music. Movie soundtrack stuff is so cool Grin I have tons of soundtracks on my iPod. Wonder what the boys in GNR have on theres? Signature GNR iPod would be the bee's knees.

I love the intro...reminds me of Godzilla or something.  It builds soo much anticipation and, for lack of a better word, fear into the audience.  because when I was at Hammerstein, the crowd just squeezed in so tight on the floor, and me being high, and not knowing what to expect and on top of it all hearing this intro...then the opening riff to Jungle...AMAZING!! drool

i think the song sucks.  it's boring and long.  besides, the melody sounds pretty similar to the "pinion" intro to nine inch nails concerts (now THAT is a good opener).  does axl have to copy trent with everything he does?

Major contradictions in that post dude.  You say the intro sucks, yet it's very similar to NIN's intro which is good.  Something doesn't add up.

bitch puh-leazze!!  the melody sounds robbed... but it's like axl had an orchestra play a much longer and much slower version.  the nin intro is great because it's short, it builds in intensity, and it uses guitars.  this intro is boring because it's long-winded and BOORRRIIINNGG.

i think now gnr shows have better intro,than in uyi tour or 2002 tour

anyone that havn't really seen it live shouldn't come and say if it's bad or not... you have in case not an idea how it feels like...
