those who prefer the 92 or 93 'rasp', should check
http://homepage.mac.com/changcy/voiceraspy.htm

In 2002 he mostly sang high. Now whether you like it or not is a matter of taste.
but at least that proves that he can also sing high and clear.

Yeah, I agree with you guys that Axl's voice is a whole lot better than the last year of the Illusion and the 2002 tour.

But I can't hear his voice with 3 guitars now. I know I won't change that but does that happen to you guys too?

if they "dont drink onstage" then how did the canida show get cancelled?

It was Maine ok

but I noticed that Pit(t)man has some pretty schnazzy threads! also during the shows in Vegas, he was like cussing and swearing playing his keyboard-like-thing he had..I'm not saying he was mad I'm just saying he plays with a lot of intensity.

Maybe not a fact, but listen to some YouTube Axl from 92 or 93, he is hoarse and squawky on most of the songs.

that was the whole charm of it. i know he was hurting his throat. but i love old live shows where he sings that way. this is gnr for me.

Maybe not a fact, but listen to some YouTube Axl from 92 or 93, he is hoarse and squawky on most of the songs. Now he hits the notes pretty clean but still raspy.

If i over blow it some, thats just cause I am tired of people criticizing Axl's voice when in reality its better than the UYI tour days.

Listen to the Jungle intro from the VMA's or the live and let die screams.

They are far superior than in 92.

Sure, but those examples can get you on thin ice pretty fast. We all know what happened after that brilliant VMA scream hihi

Forgot what Hammerstein show it was, but towards the end Axl came out with his cell phone on his belt, with the service light blinking...haha...

Also, During November Rain at Worchester, some of the sparkles falling from the ceiling caught Axl's tissues on fire!

the tissue issue? (hee hee)?
could be Axl is suffering from sinus probs,y'know sometimes on vacay depending where you go you get a snuffy drippy nose? as i live in TN i Live for Allegra D,otherwise sinus headaches happen most days and tissues would be my main shopping list item. one good thing,he isn't sniffing and spitting on stage, cause thats just icky (IMO).? smoking
