how can I split the file?

Open it with an Audio Editor. You can use Nero Wave Editor (you probably have it in your hard drive) or download a freeware tool like Audacity.

Find the point where you should split the tracks, select the spectrum of one of the two songs, and save it as WAV format. Then, do the same with the other song.

Once you have both tracks separeted, use FLAC Frontend (level to encode it to FLAC format.

Hey, yeah...  I have the Iowa show recorded on my cell phone.  (I also have HELMET'S perfomance.)

I just ordered a data transfer cable, in hopes of keeping the original file format this time.

I'm also hoping that this will help with the sound quality.   

I'm thinking it's gonna be like a week until I get the cable...

but of course I'll post it A.S.A.P.

Cool man, take all the time you need. WIth that data transfer cable u will be able to get the original file format, and then you can encode it to any of the lossless formats available.

The files will just be slightly bigger than the mp3 320, but the quality will probably better.
