This is the internet and you can find almost any kind of info that you want here.  GOOGLE it.  It's really fucking easy and NO it won't work to burn the folder to a DVD if you want it to play on a DVD player.  If I had time to explain the process to you I would, but seriously just google it and you'll find what you need.  Unless of course someone else here has time to help you.

I have about 1 minute and I'll try to break it down for you.  Do you have a Nero burning program that can burn DVD's??  I'm not really familiar with anything other than Nero but it should be the same process no matter what program you use.  When you go to burn a DVD that can be played on DVD players two folders SHOULD appear in the window where you place the files.  One folder is audio_ts and the other is video_ts.  Put all of the files into the video_ts folder.  I think DVD files are .bup files and some start with VTS_ and one is video_ts (IFO FILE) I think.  But it should be every single file that you downloaded in the folder that will go in the VIDEO_TS folder in the burn screen window, except a text file of course that may be there.  I hope this helps and it probably doesn't and I wish I could explain it better if I had a little more time.

Just listen to what I said and google it if you have any other questions.  But once you get the window open to burn DVD VIDEO FILES, two folders should already be there.  PUT ALL FILES IN VIDEO_TS FOLDER!!!  THEN BURN IT!!!

.IFO files are menus and such stuff, .BUP are just backups for .IFOs
.VOB files are the videos themselves

there are two ways to burn a DVD-Video.

1) if you need to copy DVD, the best way to do 1:1 copy is CloneDVD2, the best in combination with AnyDVD, these two can copy any (even protected DVD) and make 1:1 copy, plus you can select what chapters, audio etc do you want to copy.

2) if you need to burn downloaded files, I'd recommend Nero. create DVD-Video compilation, it will automatically create AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS folders. I haven't seen any DVD that would need AUDIO_TS so everything you download from torrents will be put in VIDEO_TS - I mean all .IFO, .BUP and .VOB files. if you need to put extra information to the DVD, like info txt files, booklet images etc, put them into root folder, out of VIDEO_TS. that should do the job.

I've also had great success with Nero, up until today. I was burning some DL dvds I've downloaded the last few months, ended up with 3 coasters, got a "Could not perform end of disc-at-once" error. I got 2 good ones as well, but I can't have this kind of error rate with the prices on DL recordables. I used Verbatim DL DVD+R discs, they've a good reputation as far as I know. I never have problems burning my normal video DVDs.

Is there any program except for Nero that can write reliable Dual Layer video DVDs? I don't mind it being free either peace

This program is incredibly easy to use and has a free trial.

Will burn anything to anything. Grin

Thanks for the tip, I'll try it out! You've used it yourself to burn dual layers?
