Hamilton has always been most the creative impetus behind helmet, lyrics/main guitar riffs... etc...

Page was more to Helmet than what Axl was to original gnr...

Axl wrote the lyrics, has the great voice..

Page wrote the lyrics, main riffs, and has a pretty versatile voice...

although page's lyrics/voice never matched Axl's in my opinion. peace

Axl wrote SOME lyrics, not ALL of the lyrics as your statement really implies.

lol I saw this band open for Faith No More about en eon ago...if it's the same Helmet.? I was busy getting beat up by my bf, so I don't remember much about them hihi

...And now the drummer you saw from Helmet is in a band with the Faith No More singer Mike Patton called Tomahawk.   He is one of the best drummers I've ever heard.  I envy you.  Must have been a great show.

As much as I LOVE Helmet, I don't think they are a good match for this tour.  The crowd hasn't really been into them, but they were received better in Minnie than in Ames at least.
