« on: November 29, 2006, 03:32:21 PM »

So I have Tix for the show in Minneapolis for this saturday. I plan on leaving friday morning and would like to know if the show is going to be cancelled because of travel arrangments and money Issues. I was wondering how long of a notice they gave the Milwaukee fans? Did they break the news the day of the concert? I wish they would just make a statment about this weekends shows right now for the sake of the fans. Also, anyone else round here going to the Minneapolis show this weekend?

They gave a one day notice for Milwaukee I believe. As far as the statement, the press release stated that the tour goes on as scheduled with the IA, and even mentioned the IA in the statement.  I am going to both shows.

I would wait until tomorrow, and check the news.  Axl maybe still sick, there is bad winter weather in the Midwest, and other factors could be in play.

Milwaukee is expected to get a foot of snow tommorow, and O'Hare airport is cancelling flights right and left. I am kind of glad that I didn't go up to Milwaukee today because I am TERRIFIED of driving in the snow.

They said that the tour will continue on Friday.  Sure we will have to see if Axl is well, the weather in Mpls. looks o.k., what "other factors could be in play"?

I'm not his doctor so I can't say.

The tour is scheduled to continue as planned. Just like the press release said.

Some people like to post "rumors" that state otherwise.

One would assume, as with all situations like this, that he will be re-examined by his personal physician either late today or early tomorrow and the DOCTOR will make a determination one way or the other.

As they said, the PLAN is to continue the shows, starting tomorrow night, as scheduled.  IF that changes, we'll get a PR saying the Doctor has ordered more rest/treatment.  Silence would mean things are going as planned.  Since, so far, we have silence......I'd assume the shows are gonna happen.

I only posted about the weather because the first snowstorm of the season is often chaotic. O'Hare Airport practically shuts down and if the band can't make it out I don't want people to blame Axl for a snowstorm. Last December it took me over 2 hours to drive 10 miles in the city home from work.

DId you see THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA? The airport will be closed if it is unsafe to fly. During last year's storm a plane ran off the runway at Midway Airport and plowed into a car and killed a little boy.
