In relation to the first post, you may find this interesting
It's a novel by Dai Sijie

its nice balzac gets his mention here. anyone willing to read up on the career of orson welles will find interesting parallels with axl, too. one of his many unfinished masterpieces, the other side of the wind, is still locked up and will never be released for all the legal difficulties.

I honestly don't think Axl is as nuts as the guy you compare him too in your post.
I think he just realises he gets one chance and wants doesn't want to blow it.
Dude....do YOU know who Balzac is?

Nothingman was referring to a character from a Balzac's novel, not to Balzac himself. Read the first post, and you'll understand. Maybe.

As much as I'd find such a theory charming, I don't think there's any connection between Balzac's work and Guns N' Roses. Similarities, perhaps. But no connection.
