I was told to make it clear in a previous thread that Craig Howell isn't the one who did the artwork.

Which means the cover won't have anything to do with the work he's done on that poster for the San Francisco shows? If that's the case, that's too bad, because that would have been one of the most beautiful album covers I've ever seen. If they came up/ will come up with something better, I'm anxious to see it.

That guy is very good and it's a shame he has "never been considered" for it...

Thanks.  Went to the website but it does not appear as a link for me anyway.

I spoke to Craig myself via email back when a radio DJ mentioned him onair as doing the CD artwork. He had no idea where the rumor came from, although he didn't confirm/deny any involvement.

If Jarmo says it wasn't him, then I'm guessing someone just saw his poster for the SF shows and assumed he'd be doing the album art.

That's where I posted the comment the first time.

I don't know what the artwork looks like or its status.

This may seem too obvious, but is it possible we've already seen the artwork?  I'm thinking specifically of the Chinese man rowing his boat with a red background, which appears when the band plays Chinese Democracy during the encore.  Might make for a cool album cover (THIS IS NOT A RUMOR, that I know of...just a thought!).

I don't think it's cheesy and I like it. I hope the cover won't be too simple...

"did" being the key word!
As I posted in the previous thread, Craig Howell is not the artist who did the cover art for Chinese Democracy nor has he ever been considered.

/jarmo

"did" is the key word there.

Agreed. But there is always someone better....fits better to do the artwork of a certain album.
