A funny GNR moment with my mom
«

So my mom who loved GNR back in the 80's (She is 40 now) asked me whats going on with GNR after the radio station we were listenting too played a GNR song and they did a quick mention of the Portland show GNR cancelled. And she said is The Edge still in G'N'R? LMFAO. I told her Edge is in U2 and Slash was who she was thinking of. And I told here Slash left the band and etc. I thought that was pretty funny. I thought GNR fans might find this funny. Yeah its random but its humurous which us Guns fans need.

Yes, it's almost as worthless as your "what a pile of poo" post in this thread:

Thanks for the post emanc, I've been in your position before, it is kind of funny talking with your parents about GNR and trying to explain everything to them.

I doubt waiting for CD had anything to do with it.....................

LOL, my husband, who loves the band, thought they were all reunited. I had to break it gently to him that Slash, Duff, Steve and Izzy weren't in the band no longer. He wanted to know when Izzy, Duff, and Steve left.

I'm guessing you and your husband don't talk much? How could he not possibly know this yet you are part of the Gn'R online community?
I dont' mean anything by this I just find it funny.

My husband is the absent minded professor. You can tell him something a hundred times, but on the hundred and first, he'll still be just as unknowledgable as he was the first time.
He also sucks at relaying messages.

Well at least she knows what GNR is. It's really cool reading about people's parents listening to and loving GNR too. I wish my parents did too.

I am a 41 year old mom, been with the "Gunners" since the beginning, and still to this day, they are a topic in my home on a daily basis, wether it is just a small conversation regarding the latest events, or videos, or thier music in our home stereos or cars. I am the one who is the strongest fan, and my husband totally supports my obsession, always puts up with me in regards to, and both of my kids and their friends as well, my neighbors think I am nuts, as I am one who has traveled afar just to see them, but I don't care what they all think, It's my "Bad Obsession".

At least this 13 year old likes Guns. My 14 year old step daughter does not. I tried to turn her on to Guns, but she preferred Rap. That was banned from the house, then she started listening to the Hip Hop shit. Oh well, what a dweeb.
