i spent my entire student term loan on a trip to nyc to see them. totally worth it 

theres always the risk though that you travel across the world to see them and its a bad show...like if i had travelled far and wide to see download or something id be pissed off. good show, but just unpleasant atmosphere

Where does rich come into it im not rich its a case of making other sacrifices to live your dream like not smoking not pissing ?60?70 up the wall on a night out, i mean fuck if i was rich i wouldnt of slept in Airports on basement Floors flown the cheapest economy i could driven home hundreds of miles at 2-3-4 in the morning instead of booking hotels.

Plan ahead, make some kind of budget.

I spent five days in Lisbon, I went to Dublin, Oslo, got to finally see the wonderful NYC, met and got drunk with loads of wonderful people from all over the world, had the greatest summer of my life... I even found love, briefly, but I did. I think I have a life.... Those were my holidays; I guess other people prefer to spend theirs just lying on a beach but that's not my idea of a good time.

Money? Yeah, you need some, but as Jarmo says: If you plan carefully, you can do it on the cheap side.
