HOw Dare Axl play a 3 song Encore!!!!
When the fuck Did GNR come to CIncy?
I know that isnt so cause I wouldve been there had they went to Cincy
tell me I didnt miss that one.
They didn't make it to Cincy, they postponed the show and then cancelled the rescheduled show, back in 1993.
Either Uncle Axl is getting old or he really enjoyed the time off following the cancellation.

i guess the first review was removed?
Stupid.... People aren't lying when they say people leave towards the end, just because all of the die-hards here that are down on the floor don't see people leaving doesn't mean that it doesn't happen.... Or that it wasn't a good show regardless.

the first post didn't seem like someones opinion, it was from some douchebag who had five posts, and the one before this was about how he had given up on GNR (he posted that before he went to the show)
he just rambled about how the show sucked and axl needs to do this and that - you didn't miss much!

Eagles of Death Metal had some booing. But they weren't boo'd off stage. For all I could tell, they played their whole set.

Those people are paid to be in the crowd. At some point Axl will kick them out and it keeps the illusion that anything can happen at a Gn'R show alive and well. Someone gets kicked out nearly every show so it's obviously part of the show but we aren't supposed to know. It's like when wrestlers rip up some litte kid's poster. That kid was there as a prop. same thing goes for these guys who get kicked out of the show.

wow back from the show, i'll start the review from entering the arena..... so I got inside the arena at around 7:30 p.m. ?suicide girls came on at around 8. ?Not bad for a bunch of flat chested skanks (they had their good moments, the one with the hula hoop and the weird step ladder thingy) ?anyway, Baz came on, he had great energy, all in all a good show even if you're not a big baz fan. Baz was good at getting the crowd pumped for the greater part of the night. ?then... the torture, the Eagles of Death Metal, were horrid at best, people booed them the ENTIRE TIME... (i'm guilty of it too, they were putting me to sleep so i was like get off the stage queers!!!) anyway, they play an hour set which ended at about 10:45 p.m...... Then they started setting up the stage for GnR and i dunno, i guess they were having tech difficulties or something cuz they stopped, and then a couple of the suicide girls came back on.. by this point it was already about 11:45 p.m. when they were done and people were getting antsy and pissant, a fight or two broke out. ?(btw, i was up front towards the right about 4 rows back from the stage) ?the show seemed to have sold pretty well, About close to 80% or more from my viewpoint. then at around midnight, the darks went off, a low thick bass filled the arena, then robin came out stood RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE SPOT WHERE I WAS, and started playing the WttJ intro notes.... Finally Axl came and started his banshee-like scream... And the show was on! right after jungle they went straight into its so easy, during it's easy to the far left stage he had a guy thrown out it was something along the lines (hey FUCK YOU ASSHOLE!!! get that guy outta here!!!). then they went into live and let die (sorry if i mess up the order of the songs, it's been a loooooong fucking night) then mr. brownstone, then finck solo along with sweet child of mine... afteri believe they played KoHD, then YCBM, i think better, this had a good crowd response from where I was. (sorry like i said i'm really tired and dont remember the correct order) then a dizzy piano solo and then the blues (this was great!!) then there was a bumblefoot solo.. (don't cry) and a fortus solo (excellent guitar player, but during sometimes he creeped me out, he stared at me and a couple of other people... and kinda looked like he was grinding his teeth... just odd ?
my wife pointed this out to me too, at first i thought i was the only one who saw this) don't know if this has been mentioned, but bumblefoot now has dreads, and was sporting a long mandarin style jacket that resembled Neo's from the matrix...anyway back on topic. after the fortus solo i think they went into out ta get me... lots of appetite stuff kept re-energizing the crowd... then at some point axl got baz out for My michelle (great performance) and after that november rain... they did their doodle thing and they played IRS, which was cool, a lot of people were into it. ?Axl also went off on the eagles of death metal at this point, he asked the audience what they thought of him, he referred to them as pigeons of shit metal or something, then went on to say that this was the last night that they would be opening for them, so as to those that said they had SOME booing... they were booed during their entire set....(sorry i know i stated this but, clarifying to everyone else)... ?then i believe came nightrain, which was cool, bumblefoot did a cool outtro solo. ?then came chinese democracy, after CD, i thought they would play PC, but instead we got treated to madagascar, which was great!!.. then came pC confetti and 2 1/2 hours later my feet were hurting, i got shoved and did some shoving (i even watched this one fat chick punch this guy in the face and he got a bloody face from it AND got kicked out)... overall: a good show, GnR needs to release something soon, they would have ALL their old fans back if they would do that and ?continue their tour, or at least announce something.... it's cool their touring, but all their Merch says Chinese democracy on it.... and there's no released music behind it.... it saddens me. ?
?
? Also Axl's mini rant on how much his sound tech sucks... and how he was worthless there and that he should go home.. (funny) then he was asking the audience, what do i sound like?? ?Everyone responded with an "awesome or amazing" and he was like, I hear through the monitors if someone plugged in an old radio and someone kept smashing it over and over...
most memorable moments: ?richard playing his solo in front of my area, (and the creepy stare), tommy starting a sing a long during november rain also in front of my area.. and robin's scom solo also in front of me
?
Cons: ?eagles of death metal..... and the wait for gnr to appear at midnight (granted I knew what to expect.. and i didn't go sit anywhere cuz i didn't want to lose my spot.. but my feet hurt
) oh well it was worth it, it was an awesome show !!

I went to the show tonight and of course it was great. 5 new songs were played tonight which was a plus for me. Sorry if I repeat some shit but I didn't really read what anyone else previous to me has typed yet. I'm tired so I'm just going to type out a few highlights for me. One of the funnies moments was when Axl called The Eagles of Death Metal the Pigeons of Shit Metal and then he said something like, "Thank God that was their last show with us." They were pretty fucking lame though and all of their songs are almost the same. Axl was in a good mood but he got pissed off quite a few times. I'm sure some people have already commented on that douche bag getting thrown out of the show and I'm not real sure what the reason was but when he was being escorted out he threw his thing of popcorn over his head onto a few people and was a real jack ass... good riddance.
Axl had sound issues all night long as he always does and even did a few songs without his ear monitors in at all. He pulled them out at one point and threw them on the ground and he told the sound guy that there was no point in him even being there and he should just go home. He told him not to hide this time either when Axl was yelling at him. He called the sound guy a "dick head" right before November Rain which was pretty funny. Towards the beginning of the show he even threw his mic stand in the sound guy's direction. At points Axl's voice cut out completely and you couldn't hear jack shit and this went on for most of the night. I don't really remember many songs being perfect as far as the sound goes.
Ummmmm.... what else can I think of right now?? We did get up front even though my girlfriend and I were pretty fucking sick but it was well worth it. The crowd from my viewpoint was pretty damn weak I thought. Maybe it's just harder to hear the crowd up front but I didn't think the crowd was very loud at all. Hmmmm... oh yeah one time Robin Finck knocked down a microphone stand on accident and I don't even know if he realized it but Axl was nearby and kicked the stand back up with his foot in one swift motion which I thought was pretty funny considering those guys NEVER touch the stands that get knocked down.
Tommy Stinson seemed to be having sound problems as well and was getting pissed off throughout the night. Axl sounded great as he usually has during this tour and I couldn't be more happy with his performance. I hope to hear a boot of this show because there was a lot of shit happening between songs and some really funny shit Axl had said. I'm sure everyone that went had a great time but a lot of people were fucking complaining about how late Axl had come on and the people around me would not stop bitching about how long it was taking him to come out. It was pretty fucking obnoxious to say the least but a lot of those people probably aren't used to a Guns show. It was a Friday night so I didn't think it would have been as big of a deal to most people as it would have been on a weekday but some folks were being dicks about it anyway.
The arena wasn't close to being full and they even had the top levels completely sectioned off with black drapes. I was a little disappointed by the attendance tonight but that's what ya get when you don't have an album out. I was the only one around me that knew the new songs other than my girlfriend of course but they seemed to get a pretty decent reaction from the crowd.
SORRY this isn't a good review or hardly a review at all but I'm tired as fuck and therefore my memory and mind isn't working all that well. I'll try to make better comments in the morning about the show and add to what other people say. Thanks for reading mother fuckers and go to bed if you're on the East Coast in the US!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's almost 6 am!!!!!!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just got home from the show, I'll do my best to write a review now. I got into Cleveland around 1:30 Friday afternoon, ate at Cooperstown and walked the city with my g\f. By the time we made it back to the Q about 15 people where ahead of us, I didn't care it still allowed me to be front row and I chose to be on the left of the stage right in front of the speakers where Richard and Axl do a lot of work. I had the chance to meet Chinese69Illusions and his brother they stood behind me in line. They drove all the way from Indiana to see the show and I hope they enjoyed it. I'm shooting this off the top of my head and my ears are still ringing 3 hours after the show! Oh well looks like beltones will be getting my business in several years.
Here it goes!
Suicide Girls were the first to go on, I must say the crowd seemed to really enjoy them and they actually have some skill at what they do. There is a smoking brunette and a blond who the crowd seemed to enjoy. I noticed Frank standing to the left of the stage on his cell phone, I wanted to yell at him but out of respect I gave him the metal sign and he gave it right back.
Bach came on stage next and I must say that mother fucker still has some pipes! The crowd loved Bach's set, and he also seemed to enjoy being in Cleveland. He was having fun chanting Cleveland Rocks! He played some of his new stuff which I seemed to enjoy, plus all of his classic. The roof was ready to explode after his performance. Baz's wife was recording his show with a hand held camcorder which I thought was cool and Baz's wife is beautiful!
Eagles of Death Metal where 3rd on the bill, and I was expecting a lot of better things from them. They were not bad, but in return the crowd was already pumped because of Bach's set and they couldn't live up to what was before them. A lot of boo's and chants to get off stage happened. The lead singer of the band, seemed to be cracked-out and in love with himself. Dizzy was standing to the left of the stage watching their set. I also saw Robin come out and check them out for a couple of songs. As soon as the bands set ended the group kinda stood together and gave the crowd a big fuck you look and smirked off stage.
Suicide Girls came back out and did a couple more routines the crowd again seemed to enjoy them. By this time of course the drunks are drunker and the assholes are being bigger assholes so a couple of fights broke out and people were pulled from the crowd. Once the lights went out the wait was well worth it.
Since the set list was posted in the updates I'll save from going through that but I'll share some of moments from the show.
-Jungle of course sent the arena nuts! I don't think anyone was sitting down.
-Axl kicked some guy out I think during Its So Easy! I think the guy flipped Axl off, I was watching Bumble and heard Axl say "No Fuck You" I thought to myself Oh Shit! Here we go. Axl made security take the guy away, which the crowd loved.
-Axl had some terrible problems with his in-ear monitors, he made a comment of it sounded like a smashed AM transistor radio. At one point Axl was bitch at the sound-man, and told him to do his fucking job not hide underneath the console like last time lol. Betta made a appearance on stage, she changed Axl's battery back while he was sitting at the piano before November Rain.
-Axl said today was a very shitty day, until 11:00 when he came to the arena, he thanked the crowd at the end of the night, for turning a horrible day into a good one.
-Axl and the whole band where in positive spirits the whole night!
-Axl was dogging on Eagles of Death Metal and said that it was their first and last show with them.
- Not many people got Franks GUNS N ROSES beat, but damn Frank really impressed me!
-The Solos! Damn we bitch about them on the board but when you see them, you realize why they do it. Its to show off each members talents. Richards solo was FANTASTIC! This man can play, Robins solos where also very good, Bumblefoots solo wasn't bad, but brought the place down with Don't Cry. I must say the best solo of the night was Dizzy's I don't know but hearing him jam on the piano put a lump in my throat. Dizzy is a very valuable part of this band.
-November Rain, the band sounded fucking amazing on this song. Maddy, Chinese, IRS, and of course Nighttrain where peak songs for me tonight.
-Paradise City of course is a perfect song to end the show with, the pyro, and confetti just adds to the elements. Bumble walked the front row allowing fans to touch his guitar. I also loved after the song how the entire band came out and took a bow as ONE!
-Seemed like the crowd enjoyed the new songs and a ton of people where singing Better
-The sound wasn't too bad it was off at times, I think the real problem is it's way to loud!
I must say, this group has the potential to be the best Rock N Roll band out right now, just release Chinese and let the music do the talking! The only Con of the night was waiting so long, and such a late start it was past 2 when I got to the parking lot, but I guess thats can be expected from the fans, but how does the average joe handle this?
This was my 3rd Guns show and by far the best! I'm now off to pop some Tylenol and head to bed. Lets hope the ringing ears are gone when I wake up.

So Axl trash talks his supporting band, he trash talks his soundman, he kicks a fan out for an undisclosed reason and as useual they had "technical problems" I see.? hmmm....? Maybe the sound crew suck because they don't care because they are shown little to no respect and publicly humiliated nightly by Axl. Why doesn't he get new sound techs than? It's a built in excuse or what? Fire them, hire some competent people and get on with it. That or stop bitching them out because obviously he's got to accept some of the blame. Show up for a sound check or set the damn thing up yourself
? I know we all know about how late they come on stage but that seriously ruins it for some people. We can handle it but even people on this board who went to the show say it was way too long. They gotta be careful how much they voice that opinion though because the earth could be knocked outta rotation if they say too much, but still is even 11:00pm too much to ask? It's ridiculous. And no I'm not some scrub bitching on the internet who will never go to a show. I have tickets to a show and I've seen them once already so...
?
? Anyways I saw the setlist and thought you lucky bastards who got treated to Madagascar right at the end
. that's different for sure. I thinkThe Blues would fit better right there though.? That'd be a near perfect encore...CD, The Blues, PC. But still getting the unexpected Madagascar was cool no doubt.? I love reading about people's thoughts on Richard after seeing them. Richard fucking rips. Glad you guys all had a good time. Can't wait to see them.
? Also I'm glad everyone is saying how good Baz has been. I didn't really care before but he's getting good reviews from all you guys so that's cool. I look forward to seeing him now. I wonder who will replace "POSM" now if anyone?

This show sounds so cool...in other times Axl would have just gone home with all these problems. Now I am finally convinced that he is up for a full world tour!!!
Strange though that they obviously did not check out the Pigeons of trash metal before
