Nah, this guy isn't a noob, he is a reputable poster. ?Besides, what is so far fetched about the story anyway? ?GNR music coming from the company that is releasing the album?

And yes, I remember he called the next day and basically they confirmed it did happen. ? peace

they didn't confirm anything .... they said stuff is played all the time there so they were unsure what it was or who played it

I don't usually subscribe to the bullshit rumors that have flooded the boards over the last six months or so, but this one I do beleive is real.  I haven't listened to the clips in a while, but the lyrics sounded much better than the live versions we have (hitting higher notes, etc.) and the guitars were different.  Also, several people from the boards called the building in question and verified that it is common for them to be blasting LOUD music from the balcony where the guy heard it from.  It would just be so unbeleivable that this guy finds this acutal building, video/audio records it, spends 3059784357843 hours doctoring up live mixes and then reducing them again to sound like a crappy cell phone, and then uploading them here.  And then to top it all off, people from the boards call people working the reception in the building (it was more than one receptionist, actually) and they verify that it is common for music to be played up there. 

it is not a fake.

Right..........if you listen long enough you'll hear anything. To me, it sounded like the song in the background, with static, wind, rain, and a blender making a drink. Sure it was the song, but there is no honest way somebody could say "Oh yea man, that is 'studio'".
