For December 19, if that is the target release date, they ?still have time to get the CD into the sunday circulars for the big US retailers. That week is currently in it's final stage before being sent to the printer, but we're still making other art and copy changes.
Of course, another CD would have to be bumped to make room, but looking at the other CDs coming out this week, I'm sure that wouldn't be an issue.

Being a Canadian, I called my local HMV, and they have nothing Chinese Democracy or Guns N' Roses related scheduled for December, or in particular the 19th.

I even asked the guy about their store "splits" and he said there was absolutely nothing Gn'R related on it except that boxset thingy.

I want to believe..

Just so you know HMV Ireland has Chinese Democracy listed for 18/11/06 - I attempted to pre-order a copy but the girls system wouldn't let her. If HMV were confident of this release date surely they would be accepting pre-orders ?

Well it's clear that GN'R want to make this a surprise album. That being said don't try and get some kind of "confirmation".

We're all frustrated, nobody more than me. I haven't had the luxery of seeing them on this tour and haven't sense Vegas 2001. It seems the closer we get the more frustrated because of this whole "no release date" thing. But it's now the holidays and I'm going to sit back and hope for Dec 19th, that's my bet. If we're sitting here after the end of year and nothing happens then, well...........

Isn't this the 2nd or 3rd "official" release date from HMV? And I thought albums came out in Europe on Mondays. Why do they have a Tuesday release date?

Ehh, the other way around dude. If I would start a thread that told you that Slash is rejoining the band and ofcourse that would be bullshit then it would be deleted. They are deleteing threads that are doing more damage than good. So if this would be true they would have no reason for deleting it.

I'm gonna ask a program director i know if his universal rep has said anything about a release date. Last time i talked to him, his rep didn't know anything. I'm guessing it'll be the same this time.

It's been talked about for 7 years. I think the "surprise" has been ruined.

geez i will admit, i am pretty damn sad. my 13 year old Son was talking to his friend the other day, and his friend was whining about not getting a PS3 til next year. ?my Son said, "i will be happy if i ever get a PS3. ?ask my mom about waiting. ?she's been waiting for a CD to release for my whole life."
