maybe HMV are being treated like the boy who cried wolf

, and also, maybe the 28th is when the press release will be detailing the relase date, rather than relase itself and HMV have jumped the gun and we aren't actually supposed to know.

The title is completely misleading. Universal hasn't confirmed a thing. This is just a rumor.


At HMV we do a thing called "splits" a month in advance, basically it's head office wanting to know how many copies we want to order.

Today we got the splits for the end of December, and under December 19 is Guns N' Roses - Chinese Democracy...this comes directly from Universal.

Ask for the buyer...

As far as I'm concerned, HMV (or any retailer can say what they want), but unless it comes from the band and/or management, don't get your hopes up.
