what should i set my amp to to get a sound close to the new band....or do they use pretty much slash settings

I think its similar to Slash but with quite a bit more distortion (esp Buckethead).

As far as I know, Tobias and Richard used a mesa-boogie.. Also, I don't think Robin uses the same set as Slash at all.

i meant like where should i turn the knobs on my amp
for example for SCOM i use these
Gain - 6
Bass - 4
Mid - 7
Treble - 10
Reverb - 2
Pickup - Neck
Tone Knob - 4.5

you can't say whats fucked up unless you know what gear he's got, because to me your settings look fucked up.

is what i use with my set up when playing scom and it sounds fine, not perfect but thats because the guitarists play a big part in the tone aswell as the gear.

well i'm using a line6 spiderII but it models a 1968 Marshall Plexi 100W amp so that helps
anyway it's veered a bit off topic here, are they pretty much gonna be the same settings for Better say? maybe pump up the bass and gain a bit and drop the treb? or does someone have some suggestions for the new bands settings

well id say get a blues driver for distortion, use a modern marshall setting on your spider (jcm 2000 TSL 100) and for the autowah a DiscomBOBulator, a maxon chorus when needed and a mysterious device i cant ID from pictures
