Here Today...

« on: November 20, 2006, 12:27:06 PM »

Has anyone thought it makes alot of sense that the 22nd or 28th was the target for a suprise release untill rolling stone got wind and printed the article which was quickly removed from this site.  a suprise release really doesnt have an effect of a suprise if everone is reporting it.  i think the silence of merk axl and management could possibly be b/c this is still the plan along with universal reporting the delay till 2007 to coincide with the plan.   maybe i am just being optimistic but i refuse to believe that management or the record label would allow another chance go by with plenty of publicity between the tour, articles ,reviews and the park benefit.  and also the excuse of trying to get frank and BBF on the album as the reason for the delay is pure Bullshit.  If this is the truth i guarentee fink fortus dizzy and stitson will not be far behind  to get tired of the embarassing 13 year fiasco.  this is still a business and money needs to be made and these musicians are not happy with just being in a cover band they want the fame of the new music trust me.  i think we need to keep a little faith this could still be the plan and might see it tommorow next week or some time in december.  remember its not that hard to recieve a delivery tuesday morning or late monday before closing.  it only takes an hour or so to put the albums on the shelf and put up a few signs.

think about it more simply with a business out look

I think they are loyal to Axl, and probably have plenty of money.

The end.

OK but when were these 'signs' made? This afternoon? When were these 1 million CD's being printed? Wouldn't they be sitting in a warehouse right now? Who at the record label approved the cover art? Who at these retail chains ordered these CD's. They don't just POOF receive 100 copies of an album, they have to order them ya know..

If they're afraid a magazine or somebody might find out beforehand well they might as well never release the album.

I'm not saying the thread starter is right. But here's a perfect example of how the lying media... or maybe a "management leaked lie," works so well. You said, "Who at the record label approved the cover art?"

I'm assuming you made that statement because you think "...the label hasn't seen anything of the album yet," from the recent media lie. Correct?

I thought the fake story about the in-store autograph signing/ Chicago release party seemed like a good idea. I wish they would have done something like that.

these musicians are not happy with just being in a cover band they want the fame of the new music trust me
I don't know if they are not happy, for me it seems they are, but they are probably frustrated at some point. Yes they want the world to listen to THEIR music and yes they the fame of THEIR own music. They are humans and they are Rockstars, and it's well know Rockstars have a dawn ego. They might be happy to make some cash and be on tour, be onstage, it's fantastic, but at the end of the day, i wonder if they are really that happy to be called 24H a day "hired guns", "mercenaries", "the guys who aren't Slash" "bring Slash back", "They are not the real band", "the cover band", "Axl and a bunch of hired hands" etc..

and as long as ChiDem won't be out, people will see them as Axl's servants or slaves.

They want people to listen and love their own music.?Who wouldn't?

That's certainly the illusion created by the media and pot heads sitting around a drum circle. The reality is that every hired Gun is now considered family. And any reunion show, however unlikely, would only be one show... like maybe a hall of fame gig. Otherwise, each of these family members is a permanent member of Guns and would have to leave on his own or seriously fuck up and get fired to not be in Guns N' Roses, which I'm sure has plans far into the future.

You mean lie, right? Because in order for that to be untrue, they would be lying about it.  Smiley

Well if the cap fits. Tho its probably more optimistic posturing on their part. I'm not sayin they secretly hate eachother, just that, in the back o their minds, some of GnR at least r thinkin "if this album dont come out by (insert whatever time you like here), then im comin out. of this damn band".

Sure, the plan was only one page, but you didn't look at the black lines closely enough. It's made up of tiny text that details how everyone who bought pre-sale tickets has already bought the CD... that's why the TicketMaster fees were so high. You should receive it in the mail tomorrow.

Nyrose, there's just a problem with your interesting theory : why did Merck speak with a Rolling Stone journalist if he wanted to keep the plan secret ?

I believe that it is still coming out however, they've clamped down and tightened up the security and stopped talking about it and will still work to deliver the album without having it leaked.

Awhile ago,I posted this subject and mentioned that during the recording, etc. of their last album "Meteora", Linkin Park had a huge guard walk around with the unfinished album in a briefcase and chained to his wrist. He was also authorized to tazer the shit out of you if you just came near him!!

Didn't we hear BBF say early on,that he had to go to HQ to learn the new songs and it was from a computer,he couldn't even leave the room with it!!

I was reading in the Philly Metro (free newspaper-it's trash though) a couple weeks about the demise of Tower Records in the people poll and this one girl blantantly said "Why would I buy something if I can steal it? (online) All my friends do it."

?There are a ton of a-holes just like her and if this album leaks,it's gonna hurt sales tremendously.
