Ridiculous, especially lyrically. Axl's brilliant and all (usually), but that song was not his finest hour.

I love it. the hob cleaned up version is amazing and the lyrics are pretty good.

Riyadh

Oh-Oh
Ohhhh
Oh, Oh-Oh
Ohhhh
Oh-Oh
Ohhhh
Oh, Oh-Oh

Riyadh and the Bedouins
Had a plan and thought they'd win
But I don?t give a fuck bout them
Cause I am crazy

All my salvation
And all my frustrations
Caught in the lies
No one I love is well Huh
Somewhere in time
Where only I can tell

Ohhhh

Ohhhh
Oh-Oh

Riyadh and the Bedouins
So that?s the world that you came in
I ain?t had enough of them
Who can blame me?

Half the time you never win
Nomads and barbarians
I won?t bend my will to them, you ag-gra-vate me
My salvation
And all my frustrations
Caught in the lie
No one I love is well??
Somewhere in time
Where only I can tell

My salvation
My frustrations
Caught in the lie
If you?re at home as well ??
Somewhere in time
And only I can tell

All my salvation
And all, my frustrations
Caught in the lies
If you?re at home as well
Somewhere in time
There only I can tell

Oh-Oh, Oh
Oh-Oh, Oh
Oh-Oh, Oh, Oh, Oh
Oh-Oh, Oh-Oh, Oh-Oh, Oh-Oh, Oh

No the song sounds terrible. If this is going to be on Chinese Democracy I will not buy it.  They have had WAY TOO MUCH TIME to come up with songs like this.

I have to admit I'm not too fond of the song either, though I haven't listened to it a ton so maybe a cleaner version would grow on me.  Honestly, Rhiad, Silkworms, a couple tunes from TSI, and maybe My World are the only GNR songs I could do without.

I guess I'm one of the few that likes this song and sees a lot of potential with it. Out of the new songs, it's one of the few with a good rock beat to it (Better, Chinese Democracy, and possibly IRS being the other ones).

It's decent. A filler that's ok to sing a long to and tap your foot. That's about it.

I think it needs a lot of work if it's ever going to work.

Here is a cleaned up version.

The song is better than IRS IMO.

I don't like the version they played 2001/2002.  But I'm sure the version they have on their setlist at the moment will be a completely reworked version of the song. Wink

I like it, I think Axl ruined all the few live versions with his voice, but the band played it very tightly. The 3-guitar-fusion at the middle of the song is awesome.

I think its time for GNR to play it again with the ''new'' and almost flawless Axl voice (he sucked in 2001/2002, at least, in that song)

London Docklands Arena was the best version IMHO

Not a fan of this one. It's the only new song that I think is weak. At least Silkworms sounds really cool and has a sinister feel to it.

I enjoy it immensely.  Amazing verses ("oh, oh oh" part) but the choruses are lacking(oh my salvation) but i'm sure cleaned up in the studio it could sound great.

I like it very much. It has a cool Zeppelin vibe to it. I'd love to hear a studio version of it one day.

I like this song and really really hope they play it live again so we can get another boot of it Grin ?Maybe it's cuz I grew up with Zepplin or something, but I  like it alot. Smiley ?I think a studio of this song would totally rock.

This song is killer. The guitar solo is not good at all however, it sounds completely weird and un-melodic. They should create a new solo with a more bluesy/Rock vibe. But the rest of the song is killer.
