Maybe now someone will re-record Frank parts ?rofl. Brain & Frank are no longer mentioned on the GN'R bio page.

As posted yesterday in another thread:

I'm going to start counting each time I see a new thread started about how either CD will be out by the end of 2006 or will not be out by the end of 2006.

wow, cant believe people make excuses for this guy...sad

im not defending his actions, but there have been leaks and a world tour which is good enough to keep me satisfied for 6 more months. ?Its his album, its his choices, if he decided to say screw it and not release Chinese Democracy that would be his choice. ?None of us have anything real invested in the album. ?Time spent analyzing, thinkin, hoping etc... is ultimately nothing. ?All I was saying was contrary to other delays I feel that this one is legitimate and that things are actually getting done this time. ?If you dont like the board why post on it? ?Why post you dont like it? ?Are you that egotistical that you think anyone cares? ?I dont know any of you, you could never respond again it would make no difference to me and you probably feel the same way about me. ?Who cares. ?i care about the album, i was just making a point. ?Its certain people who think its all about them, who think they have invested into this album, who feel that if they dont post their "Is Axl Bald" thread that the GNR world will collapse. ?The album will come out when the creator wants it to, its Axls world, no one is forced to follow his music career or be a fan. ?Part of the fun is the anticipation, confusion and surprise.

If CD is not released in 06 you are defending Axl on this.  If it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck then it is a duck.  And Axl has NO EXCUSES.  If it doesn't come out this year he literally laughed at us.  Pure cockteasing.  He has been working on this album for at least 7 years.  If he doesn't want to release it then don't call this tour the CD tour.  Plain and simple.  It is time tu release this thing or it will never get released.  I for one hope that 2006 is the year and no excuses is valid if it is not.

I didn't know Axl cared so much about critics to the point of rewriting some music...

So you're saying that Axl is recording what the people want to hear not what he wants as an artist ?

My thoughts too.

I am sure Bach and A7x have heard the album as it was going to come out.  I am guessing though if Axl heard one bit of criticism and happened to agree with it he would go back to the studio and change it.  It has been so long that a little more delay means nothing.

I really don't think that Axl cares about what other people might say when he plays them the album. I mean sure he's going to listen their comments, but is he going to cancel the release to change parts on the songs ? No.

So yes, Bach and others have heard the album. But even if they say "that song sucks" do you really think he is going to go back to the studio to fix it ?

 rofl

I think he cares what the fans (no, not only us. the fans at the shows and music fans) think about the band and the music.

true. Not that I've waited for this album for long. actually I may end up with no wait.

I'm easy. and I think it's this year untill I hear otherwise from the band side.

I didnt mean this to be an album not coming out thread.  All I was saying is that I see legitimate reasons for a delay if it does occur.  I also do think that  if people gave Axl advice he would take listen to it.  It has been reported in RS and other magazines that he has recieved advice on things like lyrics from outside sources, he brought in tons of guitarists to work on the album in its early stages and has sought help from many producers.  I truly believe he does not have confidence in himself and is seeking reassurance from others.

The fact is unless there is an Itunes release or some kind of maverick management ploy we will not see the album this year.? Some fans will greet this as "here we go again" others sound like they will be very upset.? This time I feel that there are several legitimate possibilities why the album will not be out.

I am guessing the biggest reason is adding people to the CD's.? The past year Axl has reunited with old friends, added 2 people to the band and met new people.? I am guessing Axl wants to add Bumblefoot and Frank to the CD and who knows he might also give some kind of guest slot to Izzy/Bach.? None of that would surprise me and all of that is legitimate and should be done if Axl feels like it will add to the album and the band.

Also a lot of people feel the leaks were done intentionally to gain buzz for a tour.? I think both the tour and the leaks were dont intentionally for Axl to test the waters of the music industry.? The music world has been salivating over this release and because of the hype it will almost surely not? live up to expectations, it would have to be Appetite to really even come close.? Everyone has been wondering what Axl will drop on us.? I think that he dropped the demos and is doing a live tour to see what the world thinks of the new stuff.? This way if they hate it or people make comments he agrees with he can change it. The world doesnt hate the new stuff most like it, but I think songs like Catcher in the Rye and TWAT could be classics if retouched just slightly and maybe Axl realizes that fans think this and has decided to rework Catcher and that is why he is not playing it.? Also the road can be quite an inspirational experience and maybe he even has written a new song or thought of something new to cover.

I dont believe Axl and Merc purposefully lie to fans, in fact I am sure they planned to get the album out this year. THings came up though and I bet Axl is trying to do what he believes is best.? I am pretty sure thats why the Harley adds were banned from this board.? I bet GNR realized that the album wont be out this year and was trying to pull out of the add and they contacted fansites to try to keep the commercial underwraps while they tried to get out of the contract to play Better.

I am sure Bach and A7x have heard the album as it was going to come out.? I am guessing though if Axl heard one bit of criticism and happened to agree with it he would go back to the studio and change it.? It has been so long that a little more delay means nothing.? I would expect the album in 2007.

I know this is speculation and so many people on here still believe the album will be out this year and if it is thatll be awesome, but I would be the farm it wont be.? We have leaks and a world tour, we have seen what axl has been working on and it sounds great.? His voice and look has improved 10 fold in the last four years and I think he is almost ready to drop the album.? I am just guessing there is work and additions he wants to make.? I dont think this is a scam to generate buzz and I dont believe Axl lies to fans.? I think this is just a case of Axl being a perfectionist, I mean its his career and pretty much his name on the line with this cd so of course he will take all precautions to make it as perfect as possible.

Bach won't be on the album... thank God.  We don't need an 80's reunion on a new album that is supposed to be more modern and up to date musically.

There is no legitimate possibility. They have been confirming all year it would be out in 2006. If there was any chance it wouldn't, then they shouldn't be saying it would. If it's not out, there is no excuse. No one made them say it would be out in 2006. They gave this information voluntarily and have continued to do so all year.

Which in reality means dick all... sorry to say. If the album comes out in 2007 and is incredible... the masses (i.e. general rock fans who wouldn't know Merck Mercuaidis if he punched them in the face) will swarm to CD like bees to honey... people need to stard realizing that "lunatically loyal" GN'R fans- i.e. the type that take missed deadlines allegedly promised by the band's management as a personal afront- represent about 1/100,000,000th of the potential market for this thing.

Things can change indeed.  But there is absolutely no valid excuses this time.  Even if they were to use the excuse that they want BBF to rerecord BH's parts I won't bite.  All they had to do was postpone the US tour or better yet hire BBF before they did.

1/100,000,000th?

the lunatically loyal are the only reason HE even still has a chance at a career. In the US, with zero promotion, you think it's casual people going to the concerts?

like i said in a post that got deleted for some reason (hmmm), it's getting to the point (and the point comes when the announced tour dates run out and there's no CD) where we have to realize that there might not even be an album, since NO ONE is talking about it that was involved in the creative process, and that the concert tour is the record company forcing Axl's hand to recoup money spent on the damn mythic album. i hope i'm proved wrong, but at this point, as i type this, there's no reason tobelieve otherwise.

think about it....his baby, his creative apex, the thing he's spent his heart and soul on for fifteen years, the concert tour bearing the album's name...and not ONCE does he utter the words Chinese Democracy in public? not ONCE does he say "and this is Better/ the Blues/ TWAT/ Madagascar etc from our soon to be released album..." or something even remotely along those lines?

about a year and a half ago i posted a thread that i asked Jarmo to delete because the guy who told me the info was taking some serious heat for it....the gist was that the engineers that were working on the album at the studio, can't remember the name, said there's nothing but a whole bunch of instrumental tracks with scratch vocals on it, meaning HE hadn't recorded vox to any of the songs. Theguy who told me, from another message board, was a respected producer or collaborator or something in LA, and i provided the right info in the post to back it up, got heat within hours after me posting the thread here. He told me he was at the bottom of the hill with all the shit rolling down towards him, to paraphrase, because of what he told me. He asked me to delete the posts in the other forum and here, which i did.

a year and a half later, what has changed? we have proof of, what, 6 songs, and some poster board showing a seventh that they've decided not to play yet?

look, again, prove me wrong Axl. In Calgary, call me out, use my name, i'll be there.

just waiting for the damn thing for 11 years is no big deal. i'm on the net anyway, might as well check in here. but when he's exploiting that loyalty (if that's what he's doing) by going out on tour and teasing us with this thing, taking our money with the implicit promise that THIS TIME it's coming...then he OWES us something. at this point we ARE his career.

original poster says dont get upset this time.....THIS time. As if the other times over the past decade were alright, but this time there's a good reason for the misinformation. what possible explanation could there be for HIS silence, short of it aint coming out? suprise release, well then, just talk about it vaguely.

bottom line, if it doesn't come out, or have an iron clad release date by the end of this tour cycle, how can any of us reasonably be expected to stay o board? this is like the fourth or fifth time we've been strung along to this point, with ZERO explanation. How can any of us/ you, still believe all of this shit if it doesn't happen this time? there is simply no excuse anymore, and if it doesn't come out this time, there's no chance HE has left. He'll be finished as a relevant current artist. Can you envision a THIRD Chinese Democracy world tour? maybe he'll tour with Tom Petty so they can duet Free Fallin' so all the fluffers on board here can wax ecstatic about "see, he IS changing the setlist!!!".....down on the farm...gimme a fucking break. cool song, but when you've relased three albums ever, and you won't play anything off of two of them but two hits and two covers, another cover is the last thing his credibility needs.

that siad, i'll be in calgary, i'll be excited, but it's getting harder to know what to feel for the guy.
