Dont Get Upset About Delay This TIme

The fact is unless there is an Itunes release or some kind of maverick management ploy we will not see the album this year.? Some fans will greet this as "here we go again" others sound like they will be very upset.? This time I feel that there are several legitimate possibilities why the album will not be out.

I am guessing the biggest reason is adding people to the CD's.? The past year Axl has reunited with old friends, added 2 people to the band and met new people.? I am guessing Axl wants to add Bumblefoot and Frank to the CD and who knows he might also give some kind of guest slot to Izzy/Bach.? None of that would surprise me and all of that is legitimate and should be done if Axl feels like it will add to the album and the band.

Also a lot of people feel the leaks were done intentionally to gain buzz for a tour.? I think both the tour and the leaks were dont intentionally for Axl to test the waters of the music industry.? The music world has been salivating over this release and because of the hype it will almost surely not  live up to expectations, it would have to be Appetite to really even come close.? Everyone has been wondering what Axl will drop on us.? I think that he dropped the demos and is doing a live tour to see what the world thinks of the new stuff.? This way if they hate it or people make comments he agrees with he can change it. The world doesnt hate the new stuff most like it, but I think songs like Catcher in the Rye and TWAT could be classics if retouched just slightly and maybe Axl realizes that fans think this and has decided to rework Catcher and that is why he is not playing it.? Also the road can be quite an inspirational experience and maybe he even has written a new song or thought of something new to cover.

I dont believe Axl and Merc purposefully lie to fans, in fact I am sure they planned to get the album out this year. THings came up though and I bet Axl is trying to do what he believes is best.? I am pretty sure thats why the Harley adds were banned from this board.? I bet GNR realized that the album wont be out this year and was trying to pull out of the add and they contacted fansites to try to keep the commercial underwraps while they tried to get out of the contract to play Better.

I am sure Bach and A7x have heard the album as it was going to come out.? I am guessing though if Axl heard one bit of criticism and happened to agree with it he would go back to the studio and change it.? It has been so long that a little more delay means nothing.? I would expect the album in 2007.

I know this is speculation and so many people on here still believe the album will be out this year and if it is thatll be awesome, but I would be the farm it wont be.? We have leaks and a world tour, we have seen what axl has been working on and it sounds great.? His voice and look has improved 10 fold in the last four years and I think he is almost ready to drop the album.? I am just guessing there is work and additions he wants to make.? I dont think this is a scam to generate buzz and I dont believe Axl lies to fans.? I think this is just a case of Axl being a perfectionist, I mean its his career and pretty much his name on the line with this cd so of course he will take all precautions to make it as perfect as possible.

Not sure I agree with original post but I think the message is saying that feedback from others that Axl AGREES with. Not that he's changing anything to  what others want instead of what he, as an artist, wants. If the post is right then I think we're talking about things Axl didn't notice, overlooked or wasn't sure of.

Still, there has been so much time spent on this album that last minute changes delaying the drop? That just doesn't sound good.

I'm not upset, i hope that Axl will meet more people and then  he will add them to the CD

if he keeps reworking it everytime he gets a new idea or meets new people then it will never be finished. the whole point of finishing it and saying it will be out is to finish it and put it out. we'll see what actually happens.

Axl has put friends on his albums before.  It isnt something new for him.  Shannon Hoon and Alice Cooper both were on UYI, Its in Axl's nature to want to have people he trusts close to what he is doing. I think thats the reason for his sudden friendship with Bach.  Bach worships Axl and so Axl trusts him and wants to keep him around.  I really wouldnt be surprised if Bach or Izzy had a guest role on the album.

Guns N' Roses album pushed to 2007Axl's label admit not knowing a thing about a November release

Guns N' Roses - the original line-up. Picture: Ross Halfin Guns N Roses' "Chinese Democracy" is now odds on to his records shops in 2007 after the band's label admitted this week they were none the wiser to a November release schedule.

Axl Rose had recently revealed his intention to get the $15m, ten-year-old project onto the shelves before the end of the year, and a press release for the Chinese Democracy Tour at the beginning of October 2006 also stated that "there are only 13 Tuesdays left between now and the end of the year" - dropping a hint that the album would be released on a Tuesday between October 3rd and December 19th.

However, it looks near impossible that the album will be released in time for Christmas as the band's label, Universal Records, claimed this week that they had yet to received any information regarding a release date. With a likely four to six week turnaround required from GNR's management delivering the masterwork (not to mentioned publicity and promotion) it looks extremely unlikely the set will drop now until February, with January a traditional dead-zone for big new albums.
In other news, a new live DVD is in the pipeline for February.
Guns 'N' Roses - Live In Chicago" will be released on February 5th 2007 (we're sure of that), and was recorded at Chicago's Allstate Arena.

Tracks included on the set are Nightrain, Mr. Brownstone, Live And Let Die, Attitude, Its So Easy, Wild Horses, Patience, Double Talkin Jive, Civil War, Welcome To The Jungle, November Rain, You Could Be Mine, Godfather Theme and Coma.

yup. ?There has been this somewhat comical problem of constantly re-recording band members' parts because they keep leaving due to the delay -- which then creates more delay, and it becomes a circle. ?The instant that I read that Frank and Ron were possibly recording parts of CD I thought "here we go again." ?Remember, the initial plan was that Ron was "too late" to be on CD -- I know there is some ambiguity in Del's words, but it sure seems like the continual (some might say obsessive) tweaking of CD continues . . . .

oh, and I'm not upset by the delay.  My life doesn't revolve around Axl's schedule (thank god) and it's kinda fun (in a masochistic way) to not know whether this mythical beast will ever appear.  There are few mysteries left in life, and this is one of them.

im not defending his actions, but there have been leaks and a world tour which is good enough to keep me satisfied for 6 more months. ?Its his album, its his choices, if he decided to say screw it and not release Chinese Democracy that would be his choice. ?None of us have anything real invested in the album. ?Time spent analyzing, thinkin, hoping etc... is ultimately nothing. ?All I was saying was contrary to other delays I feel that this one is legitimate and that things are actually getting done this time. ?If you dont like the board why post on it? ?Why post you dont like it? ?Are you that egotistical that you think anyone cares? ?I dont know any of you, you could never respond again it would make no difference to me and you probably feel the same way about me. ?Who cares. ?i care about the album, i was just making a point. ?Its certain people who think its all about them, who think they have invested into this album, who feel that if they dont post their "Is Axl Bald" thread that the GNR world will collapse. ?The album will come out when the creator wants it to, its Axls world, no one is forced to follow his music career or be a fan. ?Part of the fun is the anticipation, confusion and surprise.
