Looks like any other common rock band thats out there with 4 people.  I guess thats like 1/8 of the people that make up GN'Rs lineup now.  Wonder what they sound like?

imHO the trews are some really annoying band, where every song they have annoys me (not as much as mariah carey, but still i get pissed off just listening to their stuff) and they are played a lot on muchmusic and whatever other channel.  of course i havent really watched muchmusic in a good while so im just going by what i saw back when the trews came out, and their second cd (i havent followed the history of this band but i think they only have 2 albums).

i wonder if axl has even thought of wolfmother, i bet they would open for them, then again im not sure.  maybe they dont want to be overshadowed by GNR, but it still would make a kickass show, or maybe they would steal some of GNRs thunder?  still would make a kickass show tho

Ya'll are nuts! The Trews are easily one of Canada's most talented acts!

I've seen them play at several venues, and in my opinion GnR got the Trews because they know they will rock the living piss out of the HMC. You could not ask for a better bill, unless they relieved us of the torture of Suicide Girls.

The Trews are a perfect example of a hard working band.

I guarantee you The Trews will not disappoint.

I've seen The Trews a couple times and they don't dissapoint.  Seriously, they are a fun, hard-working, Rock and Roll band.  Groups that are contemporary and rockin are few and far between today.  I say... Nice addition to the tour!

Not even close to as good as Sloan. But The Trews are solid.

Well, the Trews are better than Sloan but alot of their songs do sound the same.
With that said I do for the most part like their sound.
But do I want to see them open tonight... nope.
I mean c'mon.. they play Halifax what seems like 5 times a year. If I wanted to see them I'd go to a club, not the Metro Centre.. but, I paid my money to see GnR not the opening stuff.
Just wish the opening acts were different.

I think The Trews are a fitting opening band for GNR. They definitely have the classic rock sound figured out, and they're getting sort of popular. And! At least one of the guys in the band is from Newfoundland, so maybe he'll put in a good word, and GNR will come here sometime soon.

The Trews own Sloan,  while the Trews might have a few songs that sound teh same the are much better than Sloan. They're great live,  should be great.
