I  just saw this show on HBO called THIN -- it's a real shame the body image that these women had of themselves...it's really sad...I mean some of them (and they didn't all look emancipated like the ones that get coverage -for shock value-on those Vanity Press shows like The Insider and Entertainment tonight) were actually regular, attractive women and they just saw themselves in such a grossly exaggerated and negative way...so yeah, my two cents...there is a such a thing as too skinny.

Also depends on the girls frame, some girls are chunky or a bit heavy but still hot. Or at least cute. Some big-boned girls who try to be too thin is a turn off also.

Absolutely there is a problem with being too skinny.... too many girls (and some guys) are taken in by the image spoonfed by celebrities.... Look at Sophie Dahl who was a plus size model and looked gorgeous... now she's so skinny and she just looks ill.... Nicole Ritchie well we can all see that sad story..... I myself have a problem with losing weight... not because I want to lose weight but because I find it difficult to keep on me.... I think people who starve themselves to look like the idiots they see in the mags and on the screen need therapy..... I see in the USA they've just introduced 00 size... wtf is that saying to people!!!!!!  The move to ban models under a certain weight and size is a start, but until the media change their relentless promotion of stick thin being perfection, more girls will starve themselves to death trying to attain it.....

00 size in the usa is because you guys are bigger than we are in europe.
so i guess you missed a size.

media/brands never promotes sick thin.
i work for l'oreal and WE NEVER use skinny skinny models
all our models are healthy.

they indeed use sick skinny girls on runways, but that's the thing, clotehs need to be shown, not a hot girl.
so it's really the fault of the designer / casting agencies ... and actually no.

it's the fault of stupid girls. they need to be slapped in teh face.

then about normal girls, who are not models, and want to be sick skinny (and we HAVE A LOT OF THAT IN FRANCE) well ... one day they'll realize that theire boyfriend / husband fancies hot porno star looking girls and they'll they're all wrong
