for sale in the first 3 months. What would you be willing to pay for a copy of the album assuming downloading tracks or recording cd's was not availabe and owning it was the ONLY way you could hear it.

I've been seeing these playstation 3's sell like wildfire on ebay for $3,000.. 5x more than what they are worth....

So, I got to thinking... if every music store around the United States only got 1-2 face value copies of Chinese Democracy.. what would be the most you are willing to pay for the cd?

I'd honestly pay $100 for the disc if i knew I would have to wait 3 months until more came out...... peace

what would happen?

About 100,000 COPIES would be made.  Have you any idea how easy it is to burn a CD these days??

That would ensure that the CD would be downloaded, therefore losing tons of sales 3 months later. ?

What if Chinese Democracy was never released on CD just released digitally like on iTunes or something? That would be a first, something Axl might do just to be different.

It wouldn't be a first. It's what artists that can't get a record company to promote them do.

Billy Corgan released the Smashing Pumpkins final studio album this way several years ago.

The special vinyl copies that were given to radio stations are a huge collectors item now ok

I could imagine him doing something like this, but this is the label's decision.  Who knows at this point, but theres no way it can be released normally.  There is going to be some kind of twist to it.

Wow....I think we're so tired of waiting and have virtually nothing to discuss any more.? Now we're making shit up to pass the time. Oh wait, that's been happening here for awhile.

To answer this "question": I'd wait the 3,'cause I'm not stupid.
