Why all the negativity?

Come on guys (and girls!) the album will be out this year! I love this board as it keeps me informed on everything Gnr related but everyone seems to be getting a little uncertain....This is Guns n Roses it isnt going to be a normal album launch, far from it I expect! As for comparisons to 02 well thats just silly, we've had a huge euro tour without any real issues, we've had the (deliberate) leaks to get a buzz started, the website is up and running with footage and regular (ish) updates, the harley commercial on the 19th (think its the 19th), Axl has been out and about all over the place including MTV, the mj fox benefit, all kinds of partys and each time the album has been mentioned HE himself has said this year. I cant wait but i am certain it will be out this year and that the wheels will begin to turn with the commercial....so chins up folks, chinese democracy begins 11/06 ps citr better be on the album

good europe tour america not bad to , some nice leaks  and asxl shows his face again in public

ofcourse a cd will make it greater then it already is

but for now i am a satisfied fan  (never thougth i would have seen gnr in 2006 )

As happy I am that they are on tour, I'm gonna have to give up if it doesn't come out this year. I can't see the guys sticking around much longer without an album of their own. Back in '96 I figured I'd never get to see GnR again, and I've gotten to see 4 more shows since then, which im grateful for. The media and general public has almost completely written them off, and I think yet another tour with no album will seal their fate.

Because we could easily use the search function and simply bump an identical post to this from 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2005.

It's gone on too long and here we are being told to be patient because it will be out this year. Will it balls. Remeber that "2005 is the year of Guns n' Roses".

The continued lack of information. They finally get a web site, not a piece of crap like before, and sorry guys not a whole lot of info on there....... ?There was finally a good acticle on there and the thing was taken down in 2 hours.

And this "surprise" release date thing is just like......... release the damm thing already!!

Majority of us are not negative at all.

Most people are apt to focus on the negativity and ignore positive things.  Whether they are the press, the GNr fan board members, or the GNR camp.
Remember no matter how positive you are you're still counted among "the 300 of you that spread a negativity".

I hope CITR is on the album too, its my favorite of the new songs by far. I dont feel negtive personally, I guess I am just waiting for the other shoe to drop. I think we are all conditioned to be prepared for letdowns as GNR fans, and I guess I am starting to see one coming. I hope that Im wrong though.

its human nature for people to be negative. fans have been bit, or they see themselves as being bit, a few times now (i feel bit, even tho i know no one bit me, or meant to bite me-- you know?) when the album comes out people will complain about it not being good enough or as good as appetite or whatever. then in 5 years or whenever the next album comes out they'll complain about how its not as good as chinese democracy. remember the good old days? remember when robin finck still kicked ass?

things never stop moving.  even if we end up not seeing the new record this year, these downloading mother fuckers right here got hell lots of boots that include nearly half materials off it and the leeks.  some people even heard the whole.
It won't be so long till we see it for real.
