These are the times of my bullshit life!

« on: November 14, 2006, 11:25:48 PM »

I know a couple of years ago Mysteron started talking about having a street team for when Guns started touring and for the new album.  I believe he even had us sign up for one.  I was wondering if we were still doing this since they are touring now and it "looks" like the album is coming soon.  I know there is an older thread about this, but I really didn't want to bump such an old thread so I started a new one.

Mysteron, are we still doing this?

Probably not, because the point of street teams is to promote.   Roll Eyes

Street teams are stupid for this band.

Just the name 'Guns N Roses' will make it go triple-platinum at least.

yeah, but they want it to go more than triple platinum, I suspect.   And that's hard in this day and age without promotion to reach the non-hardcore, wider audience.  I, frankly, am completely stumped by the whole "lack of promotion" angle, assuming the album is indeed going to drop this year.

I'm just saying Street Teams aren't the answer.
